Sunny top floor large Victorian flat with garage near Japantown - Very spacious front living room /dining room. This elegant space has a lovely marble fireplace, the Victorian trim, hardwood floors and chandeliers set off the 12 foot ceilings nicely. There's a nice set of tall bay windows overlooking the temple (Konko Church) across the street. The L-shaped front room has a nice view of Twin Peaks, room for a large dining room table and a space that could be made into a home office with a large closet. KITCHEN: The kitchen -renovated in 2011 with cherry wood cabinets, black granite counter, dishwasher, double stainless steel sink, microwave above the gas stove and a stainless steel side by side with ice maker in the door refrigerator. It is also very spacious with new brazilian cherry wood floors, a decorative Franklin stove and a stunning stain glass window above the kitchen sink. Large main bedroom with a walk-in closet and good-sized nook often used for a desk. This room also connects to a large deck overlooking the interior of the block and the backyard below. The second bedroom is also off the bathroom. It is average size but while it does not have a closet there is a large nearby one off the large hallway. H Bathroom has Victorian wood detailing, good linen closet, large window and a clawfoot tub/shower. GARAGE: The very large garage is shared with the unit below. This unit has the space to the left of garage door and includes ample storage. There's a washer/dryer here shared with the lower unit. It is not coin-operated but residents pay the utilities. NEIGHBORHOOD AMENITIES Excellent location 3 blocks from shopping on Fillmore Street and Lafayette Square. Two blocks from Japantown and AMX multiplex. Central location for commuting anywhere in the City. Good fast public transit to the downtown. While the majority of Pacific Heights is characterized by private residences, plenty of apartments in Lower Pacific Heights make the area accessible to young professionals. The more southern situated apartments in lower Pacific Heights also have the advantage of being much closer to highways and downtown, while still being in proximity to the amenities that provide such a great lifestyle. The nearby section of Fillmore Street is like the neighborhood shopping street for Pacific Heights with landmarks like the Clay Theatre PARKS: Pacific Heights features two parks, Lafayette and Alta Plaza, each with spectacular views of the city. They are each a short walk from this flat. JAPANTOWN is the area, straddling the few blocks just north of Geary and south of Sutter, between Laguna and Fillmore, has shrunk somewhat from its pre-World War Two heyday. But almost 12,000 residents of Japanese descent still call the neighborhood "home", which makes for a small but still-vibrant community and a wonderful selection of restaurants within nearby mall complex with ample available parking for visitors TERMS: This is a one year lease.
