Review from the web

I lived here for a solid five years. On the whole I enjoyed my experience very much. I never had issues with management. Everything was well communicated: I always received notice to enter for maintenance 48 hours before. If the garage was going to be closed for maintenance, I got a week’s notice ahead of time. Broken light fixtures in the halls were fixed ASAP. When I finally left, security deposit was refunded automatically via direct deposit. Over the five years, I’ve never received an unreasonable rent increase that seemed to be the norm in Roosevelt. I only had one negative experience when my car got broken into (along with several other cars) in our garage. But that was during COVID when car break ins were rampant throughout Seattle. My only complain in retrospect it that there is no management on site, and frankly I think our building manager was overworked, given the sheer number of tenants.

Review from the web

studios at this price are a tough sell. it's a hundred year old building so the ~$500 premium for a studio vs. a comparable 2 bedroom unit sharing rent between two people might not make sense. it's a pretty decent location besides parking which is a nightmare (especially when moving in and out) so I suggest going carless. most of the units have fairly boring views. the manager is very friendly and I had no problem with repair requests. losing some stars because I was charged $450 in cleaning fees despite keeping the studio apartment clean the entire time I was there and spending a considerable amount of time cleaning. $150 for the carpet, $100 for the blinds (which probably cost $50 to straight up replace) and $200 for everything else which I cleaned myself first. there might have been two hours of work to clean everything to perfection which means the cleaner is making $100 an hour. surely something about this can be changed

Well Toto, it looks like we are not in Kansas anymore, and it seems we've arrived in the Emerald City. In addition to your new brain, heart and courage, you'll soon become tech-savvy, over-caffeinated and learn to love the rain – you might even dance in it on occasion. Speaking of caffeine, welcome to coffee city – let's get you acquainted with your new hangout spots. You've got the original Starbucks so that's pretty cool, but you also have boutique spots like Victrola Coffee and Neptune Coffee, where you can meet new people or just hunker down with your latte and laptop.

Whoever you are and whatever you do, what you'll love most about Seattle is how easy is it to escape to the mountains and the ocean for a weekend getaway. The proximity to the natural beauty that surrounds Seattle makes it a particularly desirable place. First stop when you get home? The financial sector includes prominent players such as Capital One and conglomerate Vulcan Inc. Meanwhile, the startup hotbed is cooking, ignited by the wild success of companies like Amazon.com, Allrecipes.com, Classmates.com, WhitePages.com, and Zillow.com. The video game industry is booming, thanks to Arenanet, Big Fish Games, PopCap, and Sucker Punch Productions. There are also supercomputers are being built at Cray Inc., and a growing biotech field with companies such as Juno Therapeutics, Kineta, Seattle Genetics, and ZymoGenetics.

Zumper’s proprietary rental data fuels our analysis. Rent and market trends, availability, neighborhood popularity, and lifestyle scores are all calculated using real-time and 2026 rental inventory and prices.
