We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming to bring you an amazing chance for a room in the beautiful San Francisco Presidio. The three of us are close friends and are looking for a fun fourth roommate. General info about the place: The house is located on Battery Caulfield Road San Francisco in the West Washington neighborhood of the Presidio. From the complex, it is about a 10 minute walk to Baker Beach (the picture of the Golden Gate was taken there). The neighborhood is a good community with lots of families. We plan to have a social and fun house, but at the same time we are all driven professionals so this will not be a party house. The room has a view of the Pacific Ocean, the Marin Headlands, and Sea Cliff and is located in the middle of a National Park. The room you would have is on the second floor of the apartment and has a closet. The house itself has three bedrooms, a deck, a shared backyard, a large living room, 1.5 bathrooms, ample storage space, a kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator, gas stove, and a dishwasher, and we will be either renting or buying a washer and dryer. The rent will be $1550 per month for your room with a great view and we hope to have you move in as soon as possible (preferably before June 1st). You and us! Tell us about yourself! (What are your hobbies and what are you into? Why are you moving to the city? What do you do and why do you do it - etc). Rachel: I will be graduating from UC Berkeley with a BA in Molecular and Cell Biology this May and hopping across the Bay to explore life further. I will be applying to medical school next year and hoping to get a job at UCSF in a clinical research lab for the couple years off. I love hiking, cooking, baking, playing violin, playing basketball, going on runs, and exploring what SF has to offer. Kyle: Hello! I play quidditch and love to hike and be out in the woods! I also am a big fan of city life and enjoy a good night night out. I have traveled to 25 countries and will probably talk an inordinate amount about my time living in Kazakhstan, Ecuador, and Turkey. I work overnight Sunday nights through Friday early mornings for an intelligence firm out of Virginia, so depending on your schedule we may see each other more on the weekends. Kevin: I am a lawyer (that mostly works in payments with startups) and I just finished law school last year at UC Berkeley. I love the outdoors and am into backpacking, mountain biking, sailing, hiking, and geocaching. Looking forward to meeting you! Additional, not so fun, but important information: Unfortunately, pets are not allowed under our lease. We are looking for someone to sign the full year lease with us. The monthly rent for the whole unit is $4,400. No smokers. Not 4/20 friendly. Only apply if you would be willing to live and meet a variety of people from different backgrounds. We are only interested in living with someone we can meet in person (google hangouts/skype will be insufficient). There is one free parking space with the unit and on street parking costs $50 a month for a permit. Email us! We will reach out to folks who sound like a good fit to setup a showing of the house.
