We lived at Cadence for 7 years and loved it. The apartments are laid out efficiently with lots of light and ventilation. The grounds are very pleasant and we always had great neighbors.
The location is fantastic, with wonderful places to walk nearby and easy access to everything in Ballard, but in a more peaceful and quiet area than other places in Ballard. There is transit access to downtown and it's also an easy bike ride via the trails. Alexander and the other property managers are great to work with, and any issues were always handled quickly.

Ive been here for 5 years and Ive loved living here. My neighbors are all really friendly and its a relaxed vibe in general here. People are respectful of noise and the dogs (and cats!) are so friendly and have considerate owners. Molly (who showed me my apt) and Alexander have always been helpful with answering questions and Simon fixes things asap (so far just swapping out older lights for newer). Other things that I love is that with the design of the apts, you can actually get airflow compared to the newer shoebox style apts that have usually only 1 window that opens. It helps cool things down and gets fresh air circulating. Would highly recommend!!!

Have been living here for just over 3 years and love it, these apartments have old charm with hardwood floors and builtin closets as well as great location in Ballard, close enough to everything you need for a night out or grocery trip and far enough away to feel quiet and safe.
Additionally the on site staff are spectacular from the main office to maintenance, specifically Simon. Any request i have made to change a lightbulb or fix an appliance is always answered quickly and dealt within a day or less.
Charming yet modern apartments in a great Ballard location. Walking distance to everything in downtown Ballard, yet backs up to a super quiet residential neighborhood & is just over the hill from the Puget Sound with an amazing Olympic view. People who live here are predominantly respectful young professional couples, with some active retirees. It’s a dog loving community with lots of dogs- super dog friendly. Residents are respectful and quiet, yet friendly and talkative- it actually feels like a community, unlike a lot of my friends’ experiences in bigger new build apartments. Free unzoned street parking. We love the kitchen, appliances, refinished original hardwood floors on the bottom level apartments. They units are very light and airy with beautiful courtyard views. The manager and maintenance staff really keep the place looking beautiful, and are the easiest apartment staff to work with. The only annoying thing are the smoke alarms, which are sensitive to the oven and connected to each other in the building. So if your neighbor sets theirs off, yours goes off too. Overall, I highly recommend living here and have been very happy with it the 2 years we’ve lived here. They have a waitlist for more desirable summer months, but that’s how we actually landed an apartment even though we were 4th in line for a 1 bedroom.
Cozy apartment that served us well for over 2 years. Great location with very easy access to downtown Ballard. Since there are no actual shared walls, it is fairly quiet and insulated from neighbors. Wonderful staff - Molly and Alexander are super friendly, understanding, and accommodating. They have also done a great job adapting and enforcing COVID protocols to ensure a safe community.

When I first moved to Seattle, I was looking for a place that would make the city feel accessible while still being separate enough to provide a sense of calm to return to. I was also looking for a place that held a lot of natural light, a cozy + clean atmosphere, enough safety to feel at ease living alone, and quick access to Nature. I wasn't sure it'd be possible to find such a place, but Cadence held it all. It has been a wonderful home from the start! From its prime location and its cozy design, to its community events and wonderful amenities, Cadence is truly one of a kind. It takes special people to make a place immediately feel like home, but the Cadence team (shout out to Alexander, Roger, and Devin!) and the residents do just that. The team works hard to ensure a seamless living experience, and it's been one of my favorite places to live thus far. I couldn't recommend it more!

Sara was an absolute delight to work with. After touring so many places, this space felt like the right choice for my partner and I after years of island living. So far the staff and the community have been nothing short of warm, inviting & welcoming.

I have lived here for 5 years total, with a quick 2 year stint at another apartment. The fact that I came back to Cadence let’s you know that it’s a great place to live. They take really good care of the grounds, the apartments have lots of windows, and are a great size. The management is always helpful and on top of any maintenance issues. The apartments are updated but still have their charm. I like that we are close enough to walk to all the restaurants and shops, but far enough away to have some quiet. The beach is 2 miles, and a nice walk by boats and through the neighborhood. I highly recommend Cadence if you are looking to make Ballard home.
