My wife and I lived in this building for 7 years - first in a one bedroom, and then after a few years we moved into one of their two bedrooms. The staff has ebbed and flowed over that time, but my wife and I had an amazing experience with each iteration of the team and have never had an issue getting a response or help when we needed it.
Molly and Austin - the current team managing the property - have been an amazing support to us, often responding same day and following up to make sure all is well after the fact.
Both apartments we lived in were quite large in terms of square footage, and the neighborhood is something my wife and I have consistently described as heaven on Earth. Tons of food and fun just steps away from the front door, as well as Rainier and Cascade range views and proximity to the highway for getting to work downtown or out into nature.
We moved out of state for work or we would still be living here - if you’re on the fence about applying, take this as your nudge to do it. You’ll love every minute!

Used to live here and enjoyed the apartment i had. An overall good experience with the building manager and with the maintenance workers. (Timely response and help.)

I lived here for several years while working at UW. This is one of the best deals in town.
The rent is very reasonable, and doesn't not increase all that much year-to-year once you're there. I am very systematic in my apartment hunting and must have toured about 10 other places near UW, so I had a decently thorough overview of the rental market and I'm confident in my assessment that it was indeed the best deal.
The building quality and maintenance is good. I never had any real problems, and the few times I needed maintenance their response was quick. Management is very responsive and capable, it was always a pleasure dealing with them.
My two minor gripes are (1) that occasionally one of the two elevators would break; this happened a bit too often for my taste, and (2) the garage door would also sometimes jam. These were never serious issues for me, but I could see it irritating some people. I'd say these are the Achilles heels of the building.
The location is excellent, especially if you work in UW. You are near a whole bunch of amenities in UDistrict and Wallingford, a short walk from both Green Lake and Gas Works, have lots of bus routes all around you to go wherever, the UDistrict Link is nearby, and you're on the highway if you need to drive. Sure, CapHill, Downtown, and some other more central areas will win on transportation, but this is really good considering the distance from the city center.
I highly recommend living here, especially if you're a UW person.

Although I declined the apartment because I found an apartment closer to work, I was very tempted to move to the Cosmopolitan building mainly because of how amazing it was to deal with Molly the manager. To this date, she is the best manger I met - and I viewed > 12 buildings in my search! Thank you for your proactivity and for being so attentive of my questions and needs. Thank you for making those videos for me because I was in Europe when I started looking.

Admittedly, the building isn't the newest/fanciest, but it has its own unique charm and HUGE rooms! Essentially, it's a converted Sheraton hotel from back in the day, so the 1BR is two hotel units combined! Also, the leasing (Molly) and maintenance (Austin) staff are great. We were planning to live here for several years, but life had other plans and we had to move due to job relocation.
*Note: it's also located on Wallingford neighborhood, between Fremont and U District; great options for business/people diversity!

I have lived in this apartment for two years with overall great experience especially with the building management. Mila, the property manager is very easy to communicate and responsive. I lived in the Picasso studio in my first year and moved to the Dali (1b1b) in my second year. Both the studio and the 1b1b are at the bigger side in the U-district Wallingford neighborhood. The online portal was also easy to use and request of maintenance is easy and fast. There’s also a small fitness center which is small but sufficient. Highly recommend if you like the neighborhood.
Lived with the same management group and worked with Molly for the past two years. Some of the best experiences I have had while living in Seattle. They're not just landlord overseers. They love to help whenever they can. 10/10 on everything. Would highly recommend them!
I lived in Cosmopolitan for 3.5 years and loved my time there. Honestly wouldn’t have moved if I had continued to live in Seattle. They are super friendly and flexible, addressing any asks/concerns/requests I had as quickly as possible. The apartments are truly a bang for your buck, the bedroom is literally as big as your living room. It lacks storage however, so I did need to furnish accordingly (I also have way too much stuff for one person!) but the location and size of the apartment more than makes up for it (as well as in the huge kitchen counter and in unit washer dryer in the 1 and 2 bedrooms). I also love how pet friendly they are and how accommodating they were every time I needed to dogsit for a friend. Truly one of my best apartment experiences. Definitely going to miss this place, and views of Rainier from my apartment.
