| 1770 Filbert St. | 2 bed | 1 bath | Affordable Top Floor 2-Bedroom in Highly Upgraded Building - This two bedroom unit is located on Filbert Street between Gough and Octavia. It is about two blocks from the prime part of Union Street, four blocks from Polk Street, 3 blocks from the Google bus stop and generally just a great location for everything happening in the north part of the city. This unit is on the top floor of the building about 40 feet back from the north sidewalk on Filbert street. You enter by walking down a side walkway which is 10 feet wide, and then walk up a wood stairway that brings you to this and the adjacent apartment. All of the entryway and stair has been completely rebuilt and is new. We also just replaced the front door and added a nice side light. The unit has a dishwasher, 9 foot ceilings and it is carpeted. The windows are relatively new, although I don’t know exactly when they were installed. They are decent, and not the normal ancient type of double hung window that you often see. The building has a 24 space garage and a lot of the common areas have been rebuilt. 11 of the 16 units have been completely gutted and rebuilt. Further there has been a huge seismic upgrade on the building and it is also sprinklered. This is a great building if you want to be in the north part of the city in a fantastic location, with a good landlord who will personally deal with your issues. All of the tenants in the building are really nice people. I have a crew of workmen who work for me full time so I can get stuff fixed for you relatively easily when things break.
