The Grove in Ballard is an incredible place to live! The apartments are modern, spacious, and filled with natural light. The building is well-maintained, secure, and features great amenities like a rooftop lounge with amazing views. Ownership recently added a stunning mural in the lobby, giving the space even more character. The location couldn’t be better as it is just steps from Ballard’s best restaurants, coffee shops, and breweries, plus super convenient access to public transit. As always, the management team is wonderful and ready to assist in any request made.
Living at the Grove has been great so far! I moved here from out of state and even though I was unable to visit Seattle or tour the unit before move-in day, the apartment lived up to what I expected from the photos and descriptions online. I also had great communication with property manager Michael Colwell throughout the application and move-in process which made the move worry free. The building is in a great location - minutes from downtown Ballard and just a block away from a D Line bus stop that goes into downtown Seattle. Everything is clean and updated, and the full kitchen and in-unit washer/dryer are a huge plus!
I've lived at the Grove for over 2 and a half years and absolutely loved it. It was the perfect first apartment - with a great view of the city, in-unit washer/dyers, a dishwasher, a lovely rooftop and plenty of things to do close-by. The only downside I would note is that it gets pretty hot in the summer - especially if you are in one of the south-facing apartments. I ended up getting small, portable air conditioner - which really helped. I grew our of my studio space after a couple of years and when it was time for me to move out, Michael Colwell, the Property Manager, was super helpful in giving information to my new apartment managers and getting my application approved. Overall - would totally recommend this apartment building.
I applied for an apartment at The Grove and worked with Michael Colwell. He was very responsive to all my questions and emails. Although I decided on a place closer to my work place, Michael made the process seamless.

I have been living at The Grove for a year and just re-signed for another year! It is a very clean and modern apartment building that is well built. I rarely, if ever, hear any noise from other tenants and everyone I have interacted with from the staff to other tenants has been extremely nice! I would highly recommend The Grove if you are looking in the Ballard area!
As a full-time wheelchair user, the Grove has been the most accesible apartment I have seen in Seattle. It's spacious, modern, easy to clean surfaces/floors and a great location.
I have lived at the Grove going on 3 years and I have to say the newest manager, Adrienn, has made a significant difference in a short time. She is pleasant, professional, and concerned about residents. Her efficient handling of big problems to small touches like adding a long sideboard table in the lobby for packages so we don't have to rummage through piles on the floor, is much appreciated. She responds to residents quickly when made aware of a problem or need, and follows through with timely communication. In addition to Adrienn, I am also impressed by the professionalism of Terry in maintenance. He is personable, knowledgeable, and concerned about responding to the resident and fixing problems in a reasonable amount of time, with maintenance dept. follow-through. He's a good representative of the company.
Love the location - the studios are located in the back of the property so the 15th Ave noise is almost non-existence for our unit. There is storage space for rent, bike lockers, and a rooftop patio with views of the mountains and Mt. Rainer. Amazon lockers are also in the lobby for easy package receipt. The landlord is very professional and kind as well!
