I recently moved into Camden Lamar Heights, and I couldn't be happier with my choice!
The apartment itself is modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed. I love the open floor plans and large windows that bring in a lot of natural light. The amenities are top-notch, too—there’s a beautiful pool area, a well-equipped fitness center.
The management and staff here have been incredibly responsive and welcoming. From the moment I toured the property, they’ve been friendly, professional, and always willing to help with any questions or maintenance requests. Moving in was a breeze, and they’ve made the transition super smooth.
If you're looking for a comfortable, convenient, and community-driven place to live in Austin, I highly recommend Camden Lamar Heights!

I have had such a positive experience living at Camden Lamar Heights! The property is always well maintained, clean, and feels safe. The amenities are fantastic. What really stands out though, is the management team. Rachel has been nothing short of amazing. They are responsive, professional, and genuinely care about the residents. Any maintenance requests are handled quickly, and they’re always willing to answer questions or help with concerns. I can’t recommend Camden enough to anyone looking for a great place to call home!

I’ve lived at this apartment complex for three years, and overall, it’s been a great experience. From the very beginning, my leasing agent Priscilla has been absolutely amazing. She’s been with me every step of the way, always going above and beyond with her compassion and care.
No apartment complex is ever perfect, and we’ve had our share of issues here, like the elevator and gates being broken at times or the occasional package theft. But what really makes this place stand out is the staff and maintenance team. They genuinely care about the residents and work hard to address concerns as quickly as possible. That level of commitment and kindness speaks volumes about the community here.
I’m sad to be leaving because this place has truly felt like home, thanks in large part to the incredible people like Priscilla who make it so special. If you’re looking for a place where the people make a difference, this is it.
I'm going on my 3rd year at the Camden and I don't have enough nice things to say about this place! It's at the top end of my price range, but when I think of all the benefits of living here, it is well worth it for me in terms of what I value.
I have some basics I need for my ideal place: on a good bus line, washer/dryer in unit, gym, and good security. Since I was a homeowner before this, one of my favorite aspects is that if there are any issues with appliances or whatever, the maintenance crew is there (often the same day) to fix it. Including twice when I had AC issues! In Texas that's no joke!
Most importantly, the people who worked here when my son and I first moved in (he was 3 then), are the same people who work here now. I love that they have been familiar faces in his life as far back as he can remember. They have seen him go to kindergarten and sent him thoughtful presents when he broke his arm on the monkey bars.

I lived here 3 1/2 years and loved it. Good space for one bedroom, loved the pool and location pretty close to everything. Occasional but not too often car breaks in, I’ve never experinced it on my end. Applying and moving out all around smooth and easiest process I’ve ever experienced. I was facing the Lamar road and the noise if cars just got too much at the end, and tried to negotiate the rental renewal but was met with rude and unprofessinal conversation, could’ve referred me to someone else instead. After signing for a different apt, I started to get offers to lower the rent but it was too late. Overall, I’d love to be in Camden communities again in the future
I lived in this community for two years, and the whole experience was amazing. The community is beautiful and well kept; very nice common areas, state-of-the-art machines in the gym, and a wonderful pool area with large and clean swimming pool. Leasing is straightforward, people in the office are really nice (Sarah is terrific, she assisted us when we moved out, but I would also like to mention the others I worked with, even though they left: many thanks to Megan, who prepared my initial leasing contract, and to Ezequiel, who is just great!). The maintenance team is amazing: thank you for everything, Hector!
The apartments are beautiful, with very modern appliances. We had a one bedroom, which is perfect for a single person and really good for a young couple. I loved the kitchen. Also, we had the luck that our apartment was facing the pool area, so that the view was priceless. Parking is great, I never had problems in finding a free spot on my floor.
Only negative aspect, if I really have to find one, is that, at least since I first moved there, rents are increasing significantly. But, on the other hand, I think this is a common trend in the Austin area, above all if you are willing to live relatively close to Downtown.

Rachel was so sweet and very helpful when I went to look at the apartments. She was very helpful about answering all my questions, and I really appreciate her help. The apartments were really cute, and good size. Still deciding on location, but I did like the apartments. I’ve heard really good things about Camden properties too!

I have lived at Camden Lamar Heights for over 4 years and am in my second unit. The community has been safe, maintenance has been quick to respond when needed, and Priscilla and Britney (in the office) have been very helpful throughout my stay!
