Atlanta Metro Report: March 2021

The Zumper Atlanta Metro Area Report analyzed active listings in February 2021 across 18 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents. The Georgia one bedroom median rent was $1,075 last month.

The Most Expensive

–Sandy Springs was the most expensive city with one bedrooms priced at $1,600.

–Atlanta rent grew 1.4% to $1,500 and ranked as the second priciest.

–Alpharetta was third with rent at $1,420.

The Least Expensive

–East Point ranked as the most affordable city with one bedrooms priced at $830.

–Athens was second with rent at $890.

–Douglasville was third with rent at $1,040.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

–Gainesville had the fastest growing rent, up 23.2% since this time last year.

–Stockbridge saw rent climb 19.8%, making it the second fastest growing.

–Decatur was third with rent jumping 17.8%.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

–Decatur had the largest monthly rental growth rate, up 5.3%.

–Stockbridge was second with rent increasing 5.2%.

–Roswell & Lawrenceville both saw rents grow 5.0% last month, making them tied for third.
