It's owned by a large property management group, so there's a certain amount of bureaucracy to deal with, but that's to be expected. The rates are reasonable. The location is great. Rooms were as described/pictured. One complaint would be quality of construction. There's some gaps between baseboards and the floors, but that's not the property manager's fault... That the fault of whoever got the building contract. The best part of the experience has been dealing with Kayla and Ashton. They've really gone above and beyond since the start. Kayla was is constant communication with me and answered all my questions. She sent videos of the room, sent me dimensions before move, so I could buy furniture that would fit... lots of good to say about her. The staff does seem a bit overworked, but maybe this is the busy season. Regardless they've really done well to ensure a smooth move in and that any hiccups were quickly resolved. If they don't raise rent, maybe I'll resign and convince some friends to move here.

I’ve been at The Ella for almost a year now and completely love it! The location is central, not far from Scott’s Addition, and also close to downtown. The staff here are wonderful and responsive to any issues that need to be addressed. The special perk is that I love is the resident events that they host weekly (happy hours, clubhouse events, goodies in the leasing house etc.) The apartments are modern and spacious which is something that was important to me when shopping for an apartment.

Ashley and Kerry are great to work with. I’m very busy and don’t have time to keep reaching out when I need something taken care of. They’re one and done type of management. The building has a lot of great residents. I worked in Scotts Addition back in the 90’s when you couldn’t go for walks and feel safe. I love all the lighted sidewalks to be able to walk at night and with the beautiful trees changing colors, it’s kinda a small town feel. The people you see walking are a lot better class of people than it use to be. I feel safer now walking. My balcony faces the Diamond so I can see the fireworks and with no buildings in front of my view, I can see for miles. I took this picture because I know the skyline view won’t last forever. Something to show the kids of now and what it will look like in the future.

Reset my life and have loved moving into the The Scout. It has been a great way to transition into living in the RVA. Between the convenience of it being located near the movie theater, shopping, and breweries this place is great. I don't need my car as much living here with all of this convenience The amenities, the gym, the common area upstairs with fire pits, etc. make it an awesome place to live. I really fully realized how much I loved my new home when my girlfriend and I had drinks on the common area upstairs and soaked in the environment. This is home for now and a great place to plant your flag if you are new to the RVA and want a central location that meets all your needs. I love it!
