Built in Hollywood in the 1920's, all fixtures and finishes were remodeled to reflect the feel of a trendy hotel. Amenities include a screening room, community lounge, and fitness center. It's adjacent to public transportation including the light-rail and bus routes, and sits just east of the 101 freeway. There are countless shopping, dining, and entertainment options nearby along Hollywood Boulevard, Sunset Boulevard, Vine Street, Cahuenga Boulevard and Franklin Village. At the edge of Hollywood, The Gershwin is near Los Feliz, Silver Lake, Echo Park, and Koreatown.

There are so many wonderful things in Gershwin: an old authentic building with a chic renovation inside, all the necessary infrastructure for convenience inside and a patio with a grill outside. I am happy that I managed to move in, the latest renovation inside and a good price bribed me. But most of all I am grateful for the service! Manager Jae accompanied me all the way to check in and after, I adore this beautiful girl! I feel taken care of constantly, I can ask any question about the apartments and they will help me right away. I was even given a gift bag when I checked in, it's very nice. The customer service works fine, on the very first day I set up wi-fi on my own and got the help of an electrician.

I loved living here. The interior is suuuuper aesthetic. Very vintage-English. Super cheap rent: my studio apartment was $1300 a month or so, and then $300 for a parking spot in a parking lot that they have, so a grand total of about $1600. The apartments are adorable because of the brick walls. I’ve always wanted to live in one like that. Like a dream come true! The studio was small, but just the right size for only myself. The bathroom was kind of small and awkward because there wasn’t much space for storage, but that can always be worked around with shelving that you could install or something. I was honestly just happy they had a bathroom right in the apartment itself! 😂 The AC worked great (when it worked 😅; I always forgot to call maintenance about it, but oh well. Not too terribly hot without it, but would still probably require a fan or something). I can’t remember if the heat worked well or not. Might not have even needed it, since I was only there for six months, which was probably one of the best aspects of this complex; I hate those 12 month leases when I like having a variety of lifestyle. Haha They have coin-operated washers and dryers, a package delivery service, mailboxes, a gym with bathrooms, and a lounge for doing things on your laptop or whatever else. The staff is great! Very helpful and always friendly. Super cool place, all in all! Glad I got to be a part of that community area, which had plenty of stores around, too! Thanks, Gershwin! 🙂
