I have been living in Ava Cap hill for about a 1 1/2 year now. I absolutely enjoy my experience here. It’s in a great location next to many restaurants and night life. I love the amenities! They are modern and clean. The roof top has a great view of the city. The building is well maintained. The walls are sound proofed which is really important to me! I have not heard my neighbors once since living here.
They have recently changed the lock system to be able open your apartment with your phone / personal code ( Latch). I tend to lose/misplace my keys a lot. Ive locked out myself of my apartment a few times due to forgetting my keys at work. Being able to open my door with the keypad / Phone has been really helpful.
Staff here have been really friendly , helpful and knowledgeable! Johnny Le is fantastic. Mike and Kyle in maintenance have been prompt and resolved any issues I've had in my unit in a timely manner.
Love this apartment complex, I've lived here for almost 2 months and it's definitely the best place I've stayed so far! So far I've met Isabel and Mark and they're both really awesome and always there to help! The area's great walking distance from anything essential (Amazon Go in the same building, QFC a few blocks down, barber shop across the street, etc) and the rooms are nice and spacious. The building itself is very well maintained and comes with a very nice and secure parking garage. The staff here always lets me feel welcome and even plan out great community events (following COVID-19 guidelines of course). Overall a great experience and definitely recommend it here 10/10, no complaints so far.
The building is new, very conveniently located in the heart of the Pike & Pine corridor, with most modern urban living conveniences nearby, including easy access to urban transit and a stone's-throw walk to downtown. As an architect, I appreciated the building's ambiance informed by its decor. Everything from the application process on-line until my move out, including service calls, I received immediate attention from the administration and staff. As a frequent traveler, this building suited my needs both while in it as well as out from it. I recently chose to move for personal reasons, none related to the building nor its wonderful personnel. I managed the move out remotely outside of the country, even managed to switch my parking rental contract without having to move my vehicle. Ms. Rea Rivera, Mark Corpuz, Brittaney Maurer, Isabel Luengas, and Isaac Huggins were all utmost supportive despite my tight timeline to complete the move-out. During my time there, I also had very positive interactions with Jennifer S, Jody C, Michael McN, and Leonifel S, to name a few. It was a very pleasant place to live, so kudos to the administration and staff. Hopefully in the near future, I will consider AVA Capitol Hill again as my home.

I have living over here little over an year. My experience has been great. The staff has changed a bit over last year. Although downtown is known for people’s car getting broken into, mine did few months ago from the secure garage, nothing anyone can do so didn’t want to leave off one star because of the location.
Coming to the building itself, it’s modern and the apartments are well made. The sound proofing in these apartments are so good, if I close my doors and windows, I really can’t hear any noise.
The build is quite secure, you have to use your fob at every entry point and in elevator as well. The current staff, Johnny Le and Andrue Cashman are great. They are very friendly, and host a good number of apartment events. They are also very helpful when you need something. I highly recommend these apartments.
Update: I recently had a first service request and Byron who is a part of maintenance team came over and helped me out real quick.
Update Feb 2024 - Requested for a service request, Mike helped me schedule and Kyle came over and helped me with everything, he was great. Shout out to a great maintenance team.
Update Dec 2024 - Thanks a tonne to Johnny Le for bringing up all our holiday packages upto our apartments. Happy holidays AVA team

Have nothing but good to say about the first couple of months living here. Johnny and Arturo have both been very helpful and timely to any request. Thanks!

Been living here since Aug 2020 and actually found this place and moved here during the pandemic. My roommate and I worked with Mark with our lease and he was so kind to facetime us to show the unit we are currently in and actually even go as far as showing a different unit since there are two different styles with traditional layouts and one with this urban bike rack. Every now and then I see Mark when checking mail or at the AVA grab and go events and he’s so nice and even remembers us! It truly brightens my day whenever I encounter Mark ! I’ve also had interactions with some of the maintenance staff and they are so kind as well.
Alot of amenities were closed during the pandemic so I don’t have much to truly say. AVA still made sure to have some grab and go events usually once a month (sometimes twice) and snacks out every Friday in the mail room. The amenities are open now with limited capacity and throughout the pandemic AVA has made sure to follow Washington state laws and CDC guidance with covid. With the gym currently there is limited capacity and you have to reserve your 1 hour time. I’ve just starting to use the gym in the past week and the machines are social distanced. The rooftop also has a great view of the the skyline and a certain point on the roof you can see the space needle peeking thru the buildings. There are two grills I believe up there, I haven’t used them but have seen others use them, and a couple tanning chairs, doggy relief area and a close fire place warmer thing.
Of my time living here I can say confidently that AVA is a great place to live! I love the hardwood of the floors to our large kitchen island to the water pressure of shower. Since living here there has been two fire alarms which were annoying but I feel like other buildings definitely have more. I would say a con is any apartment facing Boylston / salt and straw the garbage trucks go by there and make an incredible amount of noise. There is no schedule to the garbage trucks they will come every few hours during the night and day and can last anywhere up to 20-60 minutes. It can definitely disturb sleep and being on the 5th floor it’s still very very loud. The first few weeks were the hardest to adjust to that sound. If you’re a light sleeper like me try and find one of the apartments that aren’t facing that street. Other than that I really like AVA and can’t wait for things to open fully so I can finally take advantage of all the amenities. I’ve told a few of my friends that have moved out here and want to live in a great location in cap hill to look into AVA ( one of them actually moved here!) and I highly recommend it to anyone that’s interested!

I lived in Seattle for 2 years and spent that entire time at Ava Capitol Hill. Ava was one of my favorite things about living in Seattle. I was able to walk to work every day, and lots of social events happened to always occur within walking distance of me. I always felt like I was at the center of all the action.
What separates Ava from the other apartment buildings in the area is the staff. Johnny Le is probably the best apartment management staff member I will ever have in my life. Andrue was a close second (though he transferred to a different Ava branch). All of the maintenance staff were super professional, prompt, and personable as well.
The only annoying thing is that every time my lease was up, I was always able to find a public listing for another unit that was identical to my current unit but cheaper than my re-sign offer. So I moved internally within the building twice during my time there. Since I don't have too many belongings, it wasn't a hassle for me. However, this could be an issue if you are in a larger unit and have lots of items (I stayed in a studio the whole time).
I will always look back fondly on my memories of Ava, and I am very grateful that I got to live there.

I've been living here for about 6 years now, and have very few complaints. Things are kept in such good condition that I haven't needed to request maintenance once in the time I've been here. Common areas and the gym are very nice.
A few years ago in the facebook group, there seemed to be an issue with frequent package theft and people feeling ripped off on move-out, but since a staffing change, I've seen way less of that.
A little over a year ago, I moved into a slightly larger unit in the same building, and Johnny in leasing worked with me to make that as smooth as possible, going so far as to let me break my lease early so I wouldn't have to double up on rent for a month. The monthly mixers here are also a good chance to meet people, and even more enticing since Christopher started working here and cooking for events!
Overall, my experience here has been consistently good, and I have no plans to move out anytime soon barring some significant rent increase.
