Kyle and his team are awesome! Beyond nice and helpful. Maintenance is quick and courteous. We would never have left if we didn’t have to. Everyone that lives there is also super nice. Absolutely loved living at the Barker.

I love living at the Barker - there is no other apartment complex like it. Maintenance and the leasing office staff (shout out to Andy, Kyle, and Maria!) are all so caring, quick to help residents, and do a great job keeping residents updated. All my neighbors have been incredibly kind and respectful as well. I have lived in both a one- and two-bedroom unit at the Barker, and really, all of the units have their own unique charm, since the building is historic and was redeveloped for apartment living. The Barker building is located just a few blocks from Gene Leahy Mall and Old Market, and it is a fun place to be in the summer. I face the East, and the sun rises in the morning are incredible. I'm always talking up the Barker. If you're looking for downtown living, this is it.

The Barker in one word . . . Exceptional. Their friendly staff is fast and courteous. They are always responsive and accommodating while making sure you are truly heard. Their performance is only slightly behind the beauty this apartments offer. My apartment had so much character with exposed brick and oversized windows I could not get enough. If you are looking for your next home definitely worth a tour :)

My roommate and I had the pleasure of living at The Barker for just over a year, and our experience was nothing short of exceptional. Maria and Kyle were both a pleasure to work with—always greeting us warmly and recalling conversations from weeks prior, which made us feel truly valued as residents. Maintenance requests were handled promptly, and the staff was consistently friendly and professional. The building itself is beautifully designed, and its location in downtown Omaha is ideal. It’s close enough to the Old Market to be easily accessible, yet far enough removed to avoid the hustle and bustle. If you’re looking for a top-tier place to call home in downtown Omaha, I wholeheartedly recommend The Barker.

The barker is one of the best places I've ever lived! They have updated/spacious apartments with wood floors, soaking tubs, granite counter tops, and beautiful big windows. But probably the best thing about the Barker is Becky!!! She is the most wonderful property manager! She knows everyone's name, checks in to see how you are doing, and is quick to respond to maintenance requests. Additionally, she plans socials for Barker residents where you can mingle and eat/drink for free! If I had not moved to another city I would have lived there until I bought a house. Last but not least it's an amazing location in downtown Omaha, walking distance to all the bars/restaurants downtown.

I have lived in the Barker for a year now and I have absolutely loved it. I am so sad to be leaving but I am moving out of state for a job. It's very quiet here and everyone is so friendly! The construction is much better quality than most apartment buildings and so are the appliances. I live in the Todd and the floorplan is so cool. Working night shift I couldn't have asked for a darker bedroom. The staff has also been fantastic and always helpful. I wish I could take my apartment with me. I would absolutely recommend living here to anyone, it has been my favorite apartment by far that I have lived in. I will be sad to move!
