We moved to The Modern a couple of months ago and have absolutely loved it! The leasing office has been a refreshing change from our previous building—always helpful and attentive. The front desk staff have been consistently friendly and accommodating, which makes such a difference in day-to-day living.
We’ve also really enjoyed the sense of community here, and the views are truly incredible! Overall, it’s been a fantastic experience, and I’d highly recommend The Modern to anyone looking for a great place to live.
I was visiting from San Francisco Bay. Saw a few units and the amenities with Kristina. She was very responsive and thoughtful with my questions about the units we saw. Absolutely lovely. If I move to Seattle this place will be high up on my list!

Once you've experienced "The Modern", consider yourself lucky, once you're no longer experiencing "The Modern"...I wish you the best of luck. No building in Seattle can even come to any level of the original apartments, the service team(s), the lifestyle team. The Modern is the greatest high rise apartment living concept that has yet to be replicated, duplicated, or achieved. As one of the first residents and first "homes" in Seattle; there will always be a special place for this building and effortless, service oriented, nature that it's just impossible to find elsewhere. They say the Ritz Carlton can be replicated but the Four Seasons can't. The Modern is in the Four Seasons lane. Did I mention the lifestyle and event(s) team? If circumstances allowed; I'd still be sipping weekend cocktails whilst watching the sunset over The Sound. A bespoke offering that just absolutely can't be replicated...did I say that already? Just moved in and all I can say is The Modern easily exceeded all of my expectations. It is honestly the equivalent of living at The Ritz. The staff is made up of a group of talented professionals who sincerely put attention into every detail. Highly recommended as a choice residence in downtown Seattle.

Best Place to Live!!!! I am a current resident who has lived here for over a year. I can say with confidence that it's hands-down the best place I’ve ever called home in Seattle. It offers more than just an apartment—it’s a whole new standard of living.
First, let’s talk about the staff. They’re not just doing their jobs; they genuinely care about making life easy and enjoyable for residents. From friendly faces at the front desk to maintenance that’s lightning-fast, they make you feel valued from day one. They also know how to build community, with events that bring neighbors together, creating a real sense of camaraderie in the building.
Then, there are the amenities—honestly, they’re a game-changer. You’ve got a fully-equipped gym, spacious outdoor terraces, a beautiful rooftop lounge and bar, and even a sauna for unwinding after a long day. The apartments themselves are just as impressive, with sleek finishes, large layouts, and windows that let in all the light you could want. It’s a thoughtfully designed space that feels like true luxury.

The Modern is more than an apartment complex: it's family. The team is absolute incredible--the best of the best. The best views, amenities, and staff. 24/7 service available, but each resident is looked after with the utmost care every second of every day. Not only do the staff diligently work to make sure each resident feels welcome, but they also foster a sense of community. So many great spaces and views around the apartment. Very new, clean, quiet, and secure. Above all, the loveliest staff. The Modern is family.
Where to start? if you're looking for an impeccably designed high-rise experience, with a great balance of community and apartment amenities, The Modern is top of the list.
The team here is incredible - they go above and beyond to get to know everyone, and are always providing unique experiences for everyone. The 35th floor observatory is basically an extension of my living room, gives me a great place to work throughout the day with the best views of the city. Thursday - Sunday they offer complimentary drinks to the residents and their guests. Special shoutout to James, who can mixup a cocktail and a mocktail like no other.
The apartments themselves are QUIET! Seriously, we've never heard anyone walking above us, or any noise from our neighbors. The floor to ceiling windows are an awesome touch, and allow tons of light. Appliances and kitchen are great, and the bathroom is EXCELLENT.
The building is located in the heart of Belltown so there's tons of bars, restaurants, and boutique shopping nearby. The staff does an incredible job of making you feel safe when you're home, namely with a 24 hour manned desk, and restricted access garage.
We're really happy with our decision to make The Modern our home!
