I am a young professional commuting in and out of Seattle for work. When searching for an apartment after graduating from the UW I was looking for something comfortable that I could afford on a single income (I was not interested in having roommates anymore!). I did not want to compromise modern living and affordability. I found this apartment to be perfect for that reason! Pros -Little noise from neighbors - There were times I wasn't sure that I had next door neighbors it would be so quiet. Occasionally I could hear my upstairs neighbor close their sliding glass door, but it was infrequent. -Excellent appliances, everything is brand new. Modern fixtures like the sliding glass doors in the studio/one bedroom make it a unique place to live. -Awesome management and maintenance team. Everyone is so kind and works hard to make it feel like a community or neighborhood rather than just a place that you live. They are so accommodating and friendly, they are really wonderful to their residents. This includes community events that are fun and inclusive! -Great place for pets. Resides at the bottom of a quiet neighborhood to walk dogs, nearby parks. -Very close walk to grocery stores and nearby shopping center. Short drive to downtown Edmonds. -Huge windows, great for plants. -Excellent shared media room and lobby. It is a great space for small parties and is really affordable to rent out. The pool table, surround sound, TV and the kitchen area make it a really fun space. -Safe neighborhood, welcoming and inclusive community. I volunteer nearby and have loved it. Cons -Highway can be noisy if you're facing north, facing south is not so bad. Ferry traffic comes through at odd times of the day, but for the most part it becomes background noise and can be easily ignored after a while. -Lack of grassy area or private outdoor spaces. -The gym is great for more casual fitness but it's pretty small. -Public transportation is really limited, but if you have a steady work schedule 8 - 5 in downtown Seattle it's not too bad. I commuted for work but owning a car was essential for everything else. -Parking is a struggle. Visitor spots are often taken by residents who claim their parking spaces are too far away (they admit themselves that they are too lazy to park in their designated spaces). It can be challenging to find spaces for guests and often they have to park far away or across the street at the church. Summary I have loved living in the area as a community and in this apartment complex specifically. It is wonderful if you can ignore or become accustomed to living near a noisy highway. I found it to be fun, modern, and affordable. I loved my neighbors, and management. I wouldn't be moving away at all if I didn't have to for school!
