I have been living here for almost three years. The number one thing that I love about living here is the incredibly awesome location. The building is located within just a couple blocks of several bus lines and the Link light rail. Grocery stores, gyms, banks, thrift stores, restaurants, parks, all right outside your door. The building is also still a bit less expensive that many other comparable buildings in the neighborhood. Other pros include a great building manager and relatively quiet folks in the building. Cons include poor street parking, some noise on Friday/Saturday nights because the building is close to the main drag of Cap Hill, and all the frustrations that go along with living in an old building. My unit is drafty and I've had plumbing issues but the plumbing and any other repairs that I've needed have been addressed quickly and professionally. The only reason that I will eventually leave the Bernkastle will be to buy my own home, other wise, I enjoy living here.
