We have been living happily in the same house on Mercer Island for 27 years. This is a house of perfect Feng Shui which has brought us health, wealth and harmony. Mercer Island is one of the best school districts in greater Seattle area. Our house is within walking distance to Lakeridge Elementary and Islander Middle School. Mercer Island has highly capable program from Grade 3 through 8 and many AP courses to choose. Our child was admitted into the highly capable program, completed 16 AP courses and exams, got almost perfect SAT score and full score of GRE upon graduation from Mercer Island High School. You will save big going to Mercer Island public schools rather than private schools. The house has an interior livable space of 4170 square feet. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 2 three quarter baths and 1 half bath. It has a living room, family room, kitchen, breakfast dinette,formal dining room, a den, a laundry room, three gas fire places and a three car garage. There is a gazebo at the back hill where you can relax and watch the boats under Mount Rainier in Lake Washington or fireworks on July 4th. The sunset is so beautiful from the floor to ceiling picturesque windows. We also have a green house and several vegetable beds so that we can enjoy our organic and fresh produce directly from the field to table. The house is facing south overlooking Lake Washington, situated halfway on a hill with lots of sunshine which is precious in Seattle area in winter. There are apple, pear, peach, cherry and kiwi trees at the back hill and there is a grape trellis at the side of the house, where we can harvest three species of delicious grapes every September. We are feeling sad to leave because grandma is 94 years old although still healthy and the kid went to a top university out of state.
