I have 1 bedroom for rent in my Central Austin (Allandale) condo. The room measures 14 x 10 and is unfurnished. There's a walk in closet that measures 6 x 3. The rest of my home is furnished. Amazing location with Alamo Drafthouse, Fresh Plus, Tarka, Hopdoddy, Terra Toys, Dragon's Lair, Top Notch, several bike trails, and a post office all within a 10 minute walk. Pinballz, Cap City Comedy Club, and a Greenbelt entrance are all within 2 miles. 5 minute drive to HEB, 13 minute drive to UT, 10 to Apple, 16 to Dell, 3 miles to Hyde Park, bus lines 3, 5, 323 are all very close. There are bike lanes down Shoal Creek that go all the way to 38th street. There is a very nice pool you'll be able to use. The community is very quiet and full of vegetation, but step a block away there are all the stores and restaurants you might ever need. Fresh Plus is the next building over. A little about me: I'm a middle school special education teacher, non-smoker, non-drinker, non drug user, no kids, 2 elderly cats, LBGQT-friendly male, age 35. I like to see live music, most often the Mohawk or symphony. When I'm home I like to paint, read, listen to records, and watch Simpsons. I travel a couple of times a year to New York and try to get to Iceland for an extended visit every year. I go on occasional weekend trips, and spend 1-2 nights a week at my girlfriend's apartment (so you'll have the place to yourself quite a bit). I'm looking for someone whose lifestyle clicks with mine, someone on the quiet side, professional, not into the party scene, and trustworthy. I'd prefer no more pets in the house. I keep the place quite clean and want someone who does their part to keep it clean too. Rent is $625 a month, all bills paid (includes internet but I don't have cable). $300 security deposit. Month to month or short term is ok. When you write please let me know a little about yourself. I'm not just looking to rent the room, I'd like to have a roommate situation that works for both of us.
