Hi! We're looking for a tenant to occupy our beautiful, newly renovated basement unit/studio space on a small, cute, and quiet street at the corner of hip Bloomingdale, Ledroit Park and Eckington. About the unit: The spot has its own private entrance, full bathroom, spacious bedroom, and full kitchenette (including 2-burner cooktop). Everything is brand new; you would be the very first tenant in this space. There are 4 windows (including the door window) so it gets plenty of natural light. Wrought-iron security bars keep you safe. You are more than welcome to consider yourself a housemate and spend some time upstairs hanging out with us if you like, or if you prefer, feel free to just keep to yourself! It's entirely up to you. The unit connects to the main house via a small staircase, but there is a door at the bottom of the stairs that you can close and lock (note: the door and wall has been built after some of these pictures were taken). * Rent includes all utilities. There's also a brand new washer/dryer upstairs that you are welcome to use at any time. About a 25 minute walk to the U St. corridor. We're pretty much an equidistant 15 or 20 minute walk to the Shaw, Noma, and Rhode Island metro stops. We're also one block from the G8 and 80 bus lines (G8 takes you downtown to Farragut Sq, the 80 takes you to Union Station, Chinatown, downtown, and then all the way to the Kennedy Center), and about 5 blocks from the 90/92/X3 lines that take you across Florida and over to U St. and Adam's Morgan, or H St. in the other direction. In summary -- you're very much connected. You're also a pretty short stroll to the new, entirely awesome Union Market. About us upstairs: We're all respectful young professionals (two guys, two girls, 26 - 31) who love to hang out, eat/make dinner together, watch movies, go out for beers, play games/basketball/soccer, etc. but we also have our own lives.
