Hey! Please read whole post to make sure it's a good fit! I live in a great 2 bedroom, 2 bath apt in Hollywood and am leaving for the summer in mid to late June (flexible dates). I run a summer camp and so I leave every summer for that -- and every summer I need to find someone amazing to take care of my best friend, Daiya, a super well-behaved, mellow but playful and super cuddly pittie mix. I'm looking to rent out my space below market rate to someone who absolutely loves dogs and will be thrilled to get to spend the summer with my dog. My dates are flexible, but ideally I would get back around October 1. The rent is $1150 including all utilities; could be negotiable but this is a great price for this apt., building, and location. The location: Located in an apartment building in the heart of Hollywood, just a few blocks from Hollywood and Highland, the space is really conveniently located to so many things. Right near the entrance to the 101, short walk to the Metro, a few blocks from Hollywood Bowl, close to the amazing Hollywood Farmers' Market, and at the base of the Hollywood Hills (for peaceful and beautiful dog-walking). The building has a gated entry and garage for easy parking. There is a heated outdoor pool and hot tub and a small gym in the common area of the building (all rarely used by people other than me -- and they are missing out)! The apt: Good-sized room furnished with queen bed, dresser, large bookshelf, and big closet. With ceiling fan in the room -- and apt has central air. You would have your own bathroom. Large living room and dining area, nice kitchen (fully stocked), and washer and dryer in the apt. The housemate: You would be living with one other person, a really nice, easy-going woman in her 20s. She's busy with her own work projects, but she's very nice, considerate, and good housemate. She's respectful and neat in the common areas but not annoying about it. The dog: Daiya ("day-uh") is about 8 years old, about 50 pounds, in perfect health, and is a sweetheart. Our friends and I describe here as a lazy princess -- she does enjoy walks around the neighborhood or going for hikes, but she is more of a homebody and just loves hanging out with people on the couch or in the kitchen (of course), or looking out the window (watching doggie TV!). While she and I are very bonded, I've been doing this crazy arrangement of leaving every summer for the past 6 summers that I've had her, and she is amazingly adaptable and well-adjusted to have a new best friend for the summer. She's 100% housebroken, never goes through the garbage or chews things up, and rarely barks. She's super low-maintenance -- not on a strict schedule for walks and she's a sleepyhead who will wake up after you do. The only behavior issue to be aware of is that she is not good with cats (not really relevant but if she sees one), and she's great with most dogs but not all, so I don't take her to dog parks, just in case. She won't run with you -- except if you're chasing her with her toy! If you like dogs, you will love her. She does love to sleep in bed with people, so that needs to be not just ok with you but appreciated. She's a great snuggler. :) I will pay for all of her food and any health costs if any (just took her to the vet and she got a clean bill of health), but I'll cover flea medicine, toys, treats, etc. You: -Love dogs and extremely reliable to take great care of my dog and to be home or otherwise with her (she likes car rides :..
