I lived at 1607 for about 1.5 years. I wrote this review after we received our security deposit back to make sure it was a fair refund; I can attest that it was very fair. I lived in one of the smaller units but the layout of the space was great and had high ceilings, relatively updated appliances, washer/dryer, and forced air conditioning. It’s also in a relatively nice area that’s walkable but there are the occasional homeless based on the location’s vicinity. It’s also gated so residents have better privacy/security. I knocked it down one star however because there is no adequate way to receive packages. Often times delivery drivers won’t leave your package and often times they’d leave packages outside of the gate and they’d get stolen. I’d recommend 1607 find an adequate way to enable delivery drivers to access the gate (perhaps a keypad to enter the gate?). The other reason I knocked it down a star was from lack of storage space. My unit’s closet was small enough that I couldn’t hang all my clothes. There’s also one small closet that it was difficulty to put any other storage in, so we had to result to stuffing items under the couch and bed. If I had to rate property management I’d give them 5/5. Seaneen was always responsive and always on top of our requests whenever we needed anything. I’ve lived in a lot of different places and Property managers often make or break an experience and I think Seaneen was one of the best ones we’ve ever had.

Hey there! So, there's this SRO building in Portland, It's in a nice area, close to Goosehollow, Alphabet District, Nob Hill, and Pearl. The neighborhood is super walkable, with lots of great restaurants, bars, and public transportation options. Like buses 15, 18, and 20, and the Red/Blue MAX Station just a block away. The building was originally built as a hotel in the early 1900s, and the single-occupancy rooms still have some of their original details. They've been updated with some charming touches, and the bathrooms are shared by only a few people and are cleaned daily by the live-in staff. The rooms come furnished or unfurnished, but they all have a fridge and a sink. There's also on-street parking with a city permit. If you're looking for a place to live, why not check it out?

This homeless man has been living in front of these apartments for as long as I've lived here. (1year and a half now) I've reported him several times to the police and the landlord and they won't do anything about it. If you're considering living here, definitely take this fact into consideration. I will thankfully not be renewing my lease this year. I pay 925/ month for a mediocre studio here and can barely come and go without being afraid that one of these days this crazy dude will do something to me. He's yelled at me on several occasions already, to say i feel unsafe living here is an understatement.

It’s such a cute, cozy, peaceful and vintage building with tons of character. The landlords AND the tenants have been nothing but incredibly kind toward me since I moved to the Portland area, oftentimes going out of their way to make sure I’m happy or to say hello. If I ever put in a maintenance request, they usually go above and beyond to kindly address it within a day, which is amazing! A spectacular area in Portland and a wonderful place to call home — I’d recommend Mayfair properties to anyone looking for an apartment! A fantastic place to live! I only moved out because I needed a WFH space, otherwise I would still be living here. Management is quick to respond to maintenance requests and are incredibly reasonable when it comes to move-out inspection. I was not charged a cleaning fee or a painting fee after doing a quick clean and leaving drywall anchors in the wall during move-out. They do preventative maintenance on the boiler before winter so the rooms are always warm and cozy. They also salt the sidewalks and courtyards. Unlike corporate landlords, the people at The Worthington aren't trying to screw you out of every dollar you own and do want you to have a maintained apartment. Would recommend to family and friends.
