I moved to Gateway West in June of 2019, when I relocated to Charlotte. I can comfortably say that I Love living here.
Under the new manager Robert Hardy, I now feel welcomed and accepted. Robert’s genuine personality and contagious smile puts me at ease to know that he is and has taken care of Business.
This year I have been aggressively looking to purchase a home, but the love that I have received from Robert, Ms. Bonita, and Ms. Xong is inspiring me to stay forever.

Arrived close to closing time this past Wednesday and we were greeted with smiles. Very friendly staff. Jenese gave a great tour and explained in amazing detail of all amenities, floor plans and pricing. I love that it’s gated, has garage parking, and apartments are modern. I would definitely recommend!

We love this building and love Jenese, one of the leasing managers even more! She has made the move in process easy as it could be. Before moving in she allowed us to send packages and store them in the storage unit so we have them the day we get here. The building is clean, well organized and the views are amazing! My mom and I came to tour twice this week. Jenese showed us the 1 bedroom room with three different layouts. All the rooms are very spacious and have plenty of spaces for storage. The appliances are stainless steel with filter water. I was a bit worried about the noisiness since the complex is right next to the I77 and close to Truist field, surprisingly it wasn’t. The window is very soundproof so no worries at all. I like their free parking for residents and gated, which gives you extra security. I also like the 2 fitness rooms, which has a variety of equipments so no need for gym membership. All in all looks like a very nice place to live.

Recently moved to Charlotte from out of state. I toured almost 20 apartment complexes in the Uptown, NoDa, SouthEnd, and Plaza Midwood areas. I decided on Gateway West due to its central location, value for price, and the apartment unit.
Josh and his team have been nothing but accommodating, quickly corrected a maintenance concern upon move-in, and have been readily available to answer questions via phone or email from afar. There are newer apartment complexes in the area, but none that can meet the value for rent (most are several hundred dollars more a month for some higher end finishes). My unit was clean upon move in and well updated.
In the short time I have been there (2 weeks), I have witnessed housekeeping cleaning the floors and entire facility daily. They are friendly and say hello when they pass you as well. Resident parking is abundant. There are about 30 guest parking stalls (make sure you have your guest pass showing). Based on prior Google reviews, I believe Josh, the new Manager, has made sweeping positive changes.
Overall, I would recommend taking a tour if looking in the Uptown area.
