[NEW UPDATE 2/26] John has acknowledged our communication and initiated full refund of our deposit. Our original impression of an excellent experience with John now stands! [OLD UPDATE 2/21: Bad move out experience] We thought everything was going well with John and June, until we had a bad experience while moving out. They charged us 40% of our deposit for what is "normal wear and tear" and for cleaning. Nornally we would not have minded this if we had not put a lot of effort doing a deep cleaning of the unit and a walk through inspection with John before moving out. He was clearly impressed seeing the clean unit. Additionally, we had also submitted a decent amount of evidence on the bad move-in condition of the unit and the clean condition that we left it after move-out. John was a great property manager until we moved out. Before we moved out, our opinion looked pretty much like below & the new reviews that John probably is making people do now, like he did with us: [Old review: BEFORE MOVE OUT] We have lived here for 2+ years now and can say that It's turned into a great place to stay overnight right after John joined as our resident Property Manager (on-site) in Aug, 2023. John is a real gem. The maintenance schedules, communication, follow-ups, building security checks and general notifications from John are just excellent. Plus it's one of the very few spots that offer cozy homes right next to Lake Union without the hussle and bussle of the city. Regards, Dr. Hari Sadasivan.

I've been living here for a little under a year and I have a really sweet setup for a nice price. The two main shared amenities of the apartment are the roof and the gym. The roof offers a great view of the city and is perfect for having friends over for a barbecue. It's also a great place to work out in the summer time. I'm writing this review and I'm reminded about all the summer nights I enjoyed playing nintendo switch on the roof with a cold beverage. The gym is AMAZING and probably one of the biggest draws of the apartment. It has a Rogue squat rack and tons of kettlebells. For those of you who don't know Rogue is a top of the line brand for fitness equipment. Finding an apartment with a squat rack is hard to do, this is a SERIOUS DRAW FOR THE APARTMENT. It's also fairly spacious and feels like a no frills gym where people should be pumping iron. The property manager and maintenance are both extremely responsive and friendly. The best thing I'll say about the apartment though is that there's actually a good sense of community here. I enjoy hanging out with my neighbors and they are all chill and accepting people. It's not uncommon for some of my neighbors to drop by for a game of pool and a drink. It's really hard to find community like that in an apartment building, especially in seattle.
