I've been a tenant here for over two months now and love it here! It's a great place to be if you're a working creative professional. Management is always very helpful, Rondi is very attentive to all of us here and really goes out of his way to ensure that all tenant needs are met and exceeded. Neighborhood bar scene is super chill, everyone is very laid back and friendly. Oh yeah, there's an awesome farmers market right outside the front door every Sunday till like 1pm...soooo awesome!

everything was terrible, The room door and lock is so loose so you feel unsafe all of the time, there is no one to help you if you need anything, shower made of concrete not shower material so it was slippery (my husband fell in the shower), the noise was horrible you can hear even if people are just talking in the next room or if any little noise happened in the street and our luck was worse as people were very loud next door, the street is not safe, the bed are bad and i woke up with pain from the low quality mattress, i have complained to them and they told me they will get check and they did nothing and i had to book another hotel to stay this period on and when i asked them in my 2nd complaint to refund my money or at least partially they refused and they didn't consider that i have complained since day one or that there rooms are not comfortable or that i have paid more money to stay in relaxing hotel. They literally ruined my trip.

I have lived here for two years and I would like to start by saying that this place used to run like a well oiled machine, now it is a disgusting dump. This is a live/work loft meaning people need quiet during the daytime to work. The building scheduled internal renovations directly beside my unit which took MONTHS (though they said it would only take weeks) to complete the project and it was nonstop jackhammering and noise so loud I couldn't even hear clients over the phone nor could they hear me. That's right, I paid $2,203 a month to have neither a liveable home or working environment and I suffered headaches almost daily as the men entered and left the work site around 6:30am- 4 or 5pm each day. Folks, this is the tip of the iceberg, the real joke is that this building dares to calls itself a "luxury loft" yet it is INFESTED with cockroaches and other terrifying little bugs that like to live in the showers, sinks, cracks, stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, laundry room, stairwell, foyer and all nooks and crannies in this disgusting building. The best part though, is that their incompetent managers said to the tenants since NOVEMBER of 2016 that they would send in an exterminator.... it is now the end of august of 2017 and the exterminator just came a week ago-- and only because I had to call the city and handle it myself. Check out the building photos sections, I posted proof of the bugs and have over 85 more images of them saved. Oh, there are also homeless people that love to sneak up onto the rooftop and sleep/party/do drugs up there. I have had a homeless person bang on my door in the middle of the day and ask me for money (absolutely startling and terrifying) so don't be fooled by the photos of the nice rooftop or safe hallways because it's a filthy and now dangerous dump and the water feature on the roof is covered in algae most of the year- you wouldn't want to bring friends or coworkers up there- too embarrassing. There's an unarmed security person that works for the building but the front door was also cracked for months so strangers could just walk on in if the security guard was walking the floors and was away for even a moment. I'm originally from Canada and have come to expect a certain level of sanitation and responsive management. I have never lived with bugs, let alone an army of them, let alone for over nine months. This experience was emotionally traumatic for me and I am so disappointed in the management- there really are no words to describe what it's like to go to your own bathroom at 2am and find a 2 inch cockroach standing on the light switch you just flicked on and racing up the wall and another one resting on your toilet seat-- I have never felt so disrespected by a property management company in all of my 29 years on this earth. Complain after complaint and virtually zero action on their part, just empty promises! How dare these people expect anyone to pay exorbitant rental rates to live in squalor they did nothing to correct? Shame on them. This building is G-H-E-T-T-O as they come and I see no difference between it and a $600 unit in S. Central except that you'd be a bigger sucker to live at 1617 Cosmo street and spend +$2200/mo on a "luxury" live/work loft that is neither liveable nor workable. Check out the photos section for proof of the cockroaches and filth! Ps: I keep a SPOTLESS apartment and always have, with an arsenal of cleaning products and the bugs were still everywhere! This place has turned into the biggest rip-off in Los Angeles. RENTERS BEWARE
