Great leasing agent in Anthony. Responsive, professional, and courteous. Building-wise, I was Impressed by the finishes and pristine, full-size stainless steel appliances (including the rarest appliance find in Seattle: a gas range). No elevator to the upper floors. Otherwise, seems like a really good value.

When I moved from NY state, I signed here without seeing the apartment and neighborhood in person, and since there were not many reviews about this building, I was quite worried. After living here for about a month, I found that it’s not as bad as I initially expected, at least by my standards. 1. When I was looking for a place in First Hill, the most appealing aspect of 423 Terry was the reasonable price. However, since many of the nearby apartments are priced based on 500 Sq Ft One Bed Room, and this place is a 330 Sq Ft Studio without parking, an elevator, or a gym, it’s hard to say that the price per square feet here is particularly low. (Although there is a fitness area on the first floor, it has no windows for ventilation and only one treadmill.) However, despite not being the cheapest option, it does have many positive aspects. As the apartment had remodeling only few years ago, it looks quite as it did in the videos sent by the leasing office. I was particularly impressed with the clean bathroom and adjustable Iights. 2. There's no way to block out the sound of sirens or noise from a person yelling outside in the middle of the night occasionally, but that’s not unique to this location if you’re living in a downtown area where you can walk around. In fact, I used to live near a large hospital where sirens and helicopter noise were constant. But here, the helicopter parking lot might be far enough, noise from helicopter isn’t as bad as it was in my previous place. I was worried about noise from the upstairs or next doors since it’s a hardwood building, but I haven’t heard any loud footsteps (--> Update October 24. Now I can hear some footsteps from new person in upper floor), thumping, talking, or TV noise. Occasionally, I can hear someone talking in the hallway or slamming a door near the entrance, but it’s not a frequent occurrence. 3. Packages are usually left at the entrance on the second floor or in the common kitchen of the second floor, and so far, there haven’t been any issues with lost packages. Some of the appliances in my apartment are currently being repaired due to malfunctions, and while it takes some time for the technicians to arrive due to staffing shortages, I appreciate that the maintenance team responds quickly. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet and peaceful it is, and if you’re already used to living in a small studio without an elevator, I think you could live here comfortably.
