I've lived at Square One for 2 years and recently and very happily renewed my lease for a 3rd year. The location is perfect for anyone looking for easy accessibility to pretty much anywhere around the city but a very quiet place to come back to at night. The building itself is clean and well kept and the tenants I've met are friendly. It's also never experienced feeling unsafe - which I grew accustomed to previously living downtown. Bonus that there's both Trader Joe's and Whole Foods super close. The staff of Beth, Luke, and Tucci are fantastic. They are great about helping with any questions, answering emails quickly, and responding to any service requests. If you're looking for a new place, definitely give Square One a look!
We signed a 9-month lease here and are very happy with our decision. We have a south-ward view on the 5th floor that is spectacular, definitely the highlight of the home. On the south-facing side there is no noise issues.
Whole Foods is across the street, the rail is a block away, LA Fitness is a block away, and took up salsa lessons at Salsa de Sueso a couple blocks away. Green Lake is a 15min walk away and Cowen Park is a min walk away. Location-wise, this place is excellent.
Square One Apartments is a great place to live. I moved to Seattle from Iowa. I have never even been to Seattle so all communication was email and phone. I connected with Nyssa and she was very helpful from the start of our communication, she made me feel secure and welcome. I signed my lease site unseen and the building was exactly as the video I was shown. Clean, spacious, and the roof top access is wonderful. I have been very pleased so far with the management here.

It is such a joy to live here. As a grad student, I really wanted a chill place where I can be near the school. The building is quiet, located next to Whole Foods, within a block of some amazing fold, and a two minute walk to two bus stops. The building is wonderfully maintained, secure, and the management is seriously the best. Beth knows how to run a building, Tucci knows how to keep everything working well, and the rest of the leasing staff will regularly go above and beyond to make residents happy. Maintenance is prompt- even when it’s not an emergency. The roof offers great views of the city and it has a fireplace for cooler nights. There is a two-story community room, which is often the location of community events. It’s a great place to be, no complaints!

Aly and Phil are the most awesome human beings! I was very satisfied with the condition of my home upon move-in. Square One is such a tight-knit community and everyone that we have met has been so kind.
Square One is a great place to live! The management team (Nyssa, Erica, and Ivan) are kind and helpful. It is such a pleasure to come home to their smiling faces. The complex is safe, clean, and quiet. The in-unit amenities are up-to-date. It is wonderful to have a good washer and dryer in the unit. Everyone who has visited me is amazed at the large bathroom. "It's like a hotel!" In addition, being close to all of the great restaurants, Whole Foods, and shops is a bonus. The rooftop deck has stunning views. I have lived in many different places all over the country and can safely say this is the best! I highly recommend living here!

Square One is such a great place! The Ravenna/Roosevelt neighborhood is the perfect area as it make commuting easy to Downtown (15-25 minutes by bus) and other neighborhood. Most things that you need (pharmacy, grocery, gym/yoga, restaurants, etc.) are a block away which makes the location even more convenient. The Saturday University District Farmers Market is a 0.5 mile walk from the apartment. The team (Nyssa and Erica) are incredibly nice and helpful, and they are always a welcoming face when we see them. All of the residents have been very nice, and we love seeing all of the pups walking through the apartment.
A bit pricey, but not as much as some of the other "nicer" apartments that have popped up in the area. After several years living here, I've never had a problem with management and service has ALWAYS been very quickly handled. While I've had some appliance issues over the years, and the building has had some issues with things like trash compactors and security systems, things have often gone wrong, it's still I think way better than the typical apartment experience. The management, despite changing several times, has always communicated quickly about these issues.
The Amazon lockers that were eventually added are also a lifesaver. Being next to Whole Foods, Ravenna Park, and the light rail link station are all absolutely incredible features of the location.
I would really recommend living here. I wish they had AC, but that's rare in these areas anyways. I learned how to install my own portable one and it works quite well, despite the window format not allowing for a typical strong AC unit.
If this is one of your options, I recommend it highly. There have been no nightmare stories about waiting on service, or terrible management, it's been very smooth and comfortable the whole time, despite little bumps, and that's all you can really ask for.
