Lived here for 3 years so far and it's been a pleasure. The management is constantly working to improve their already great service. The units are beautiful and maintenance requests are handled quickly. Nothing bad to say at all!
Looking for a apartment during COVID was a bit stressful, after touring a couple of apartments we came across Meridian at Midtown. Aside from the amenities, we immediately knew this was “it”. Desiree was so welcoming since we stepped in, although we did a self-guides tour she made sure she was as informative as possible and answered all our questions or concerns. The application & move in process was very smooth and fast!! I love our apartment & shout out to Desiree!

Staff was super super friendly! Melisa was a huge help and answered all the questions I was throwing at her!
Really was just wowed by the amount of time they spent helping me. Really made me feel like I was important and heard.
Couldn't have asked for a better team to be assisting me!

UPDATE
I've been a resident here since the beginning - 2014. The 2nd owner, Essex is a large conglomerate.
Since the pandemic, All communications are telephone voice mail, text, or email. You can also make an appointment to speak to an Essex Team member. Since
NOVEMBER 2024
we have a new Property Manager who is dedicated to serving the community; recent Improvements* We have New Carpet on every floor, new paint on every floor.
*Maintenance requests are promptly addressed.
Meridian at Midtown is a great location for Public Transportation, grocery shopping, drug store, a restaurant
*The Breakfast Club*
is downstairs, Chase Bank and parking garage which Security Guards are not onsite consistantly
(although I see one or two every so often patrolling, who are actually 'working')
Recently, restricted Access has been improved.
Meridian at Midtown borders Downtown San Jose.
Unhoused individuals in the area have not been a problem yet although increasing.
Rent is $$$ but in the range of the housing market in San Jose. Utilities are not included in the base rent and has been unfortunately increasing monthly. Overall I am pleased with my home here, definitely since recent improvements have been made.
Been here 3 years and as a pet owner I really enjoy that there is a dog park in the back that stays well lit even in to the late hours and they provide doggy bags for all the residents.
I also went from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom and was worried things would suck trying to transfer over but Amanda in the from leasing area took great care of the situation and never made me feel like I was giving her a lot of work although I know I was . She is one of the ones that treats the residents kindly and really cares about her job and it shows in the way she takes her time to explain things . Thank you team and thank you Amanda for all the help

To start, I am NOT an employee at this establishment, nor have I ever been employed by the company. I will actually be living at the building starting this month, so my reviews will be as an active resident and not a visitor. (I know that's a big thing to a lot of folks, including myself, so I want to put that out there now.)
My experience so far with Meridian has been great! The leasing process went smoothly, and my fiance and I fell in love with the amenities that they had to offer. Monique was extremely helpful the entire time, and the staff seemed very friendly as well!
Upon seeing the unit I would be living in, I fell in love instantly. It was very clean and beautiful, especially considering that only one other tenant had lived in it prior to myself and my fiance.
Overall, I was very satisfied with what I saw, hence why I signed a lease. I come into my experience this building with the understanding that unsatisfactory things may or may not happen in an apartment complex, but for the most part I am hoping that they don't. Should my opinion change within 6 months and 1 year of my stay here, I will be sure to update my review.

The best spot for a weekend brunch. They do have long wait times. Generally 30-40mins on a weekend, but the food and the ambience is worth the wait. The have great cocktails, Benedicts and omelettes. Highly recommended
The Maintenance Technician, Anthony Jimenez, is a huge asset to Meridian at Midtown. Whenever I have a maintenance request, he's always super responsive and takes care of the situation as soon as possible. If the issue can't be resolved that day for some reason, he makes sure to communicate next steps clearly and keep me updated. 5 stars for Anthony!!
