You also may want to explore Lake Merritt and its surroundings, or the many trails at Redwood Regional Park - all 5-10 minutes’ drive away. In the Village of Montclair, you may enjoy bagels to burgers, art galleries to eclectic boutiques, cafes, grocery, bookstores and ice cream/yogurt parlors to your heart’s content. Transportation and parking are also very convenient. There is free street parking. We are a mile from Rockridge Bart which is an easy 20 minutes ride to San Francisco’s downtown, and a 2 minute walk from the Transbay bus stop. Popular attractions such as Fisherman’s wharf, Union Square (which hosts a variety of high-end shops) and the famous island of Alcatraz are all within your reach. We are very near major highways which will take you on day trips to Santa Cruz (90 min), San Jose (50 min), and to the vibrant galleries of Sausalito and Tiburon (40 min). Don’t miss the grand Muir Woods, wine tours in Napa, and mud baths in Calistoga.
