Sorry, no couples, this room is for one person! Available February 1st/2nd $900, utilities included We are looking for a new addition to our huge Williamsburg loft at N5th and Kent Ave, just a few blocks off from the Bedford L. The location: Kent and N 5th. Amazing location. Close to grocery stores/bodegas, restaurants, shops, music venues, 3 min walk to east river ferry, 5 min walk to Bedford L. Seriously can't beat it. Every few months it seems like something new pops up. The loft: huge 5 bedroom space (25' ceilings, definitely over 2000 sq ft) ideal for working from home, but 9-5ers welcome. We have built in office space for 3+ and a small photo studio backdrop setup that works pretty nicely if you're into that. We're also working on some form of mini wood shop complete with tools and a work table. There's one bathroom and it gets a little busy in the mornings, but mostly not really a problem. The building is one of the last original loft buildings in Wburg (read: not a new building) and has a good mix of young and old, "creative" types, etc The roommates: though we are roommates, we are first and foremost friends here and are looking to add to that dynamic and to our community here. Everyone has known each other for a while, but we are always open to new people! For work, we are a photo editor, app developer, environmental consultant, and cto for a local startup. But work is still just work. We also like to cook/eat, work on bikes, get crafty, play jenga/soccer/badminton/softball/frisbee, throw parties, and generally be active users of both the loft and Brooklyn. We are 4 guys (late 20's / early 30's), but would be totally into a female roommate (we all lived with an amazing girl for over 2 years and it worked really well). We've been in the space for almost 3 years. At times the loft is pretty sociable, with good people frequently stopping by, epic rooftop BBQ's, dinner parties, party parties, etc and usually one person is away traveling at any given time (in fact we'll have 2 travelers for Feb and 2 girls subletting in their place). We tend to hang out together a lot on weekends, but we've got our own lives too. We also have long periods of laying low and the loft can get pretty quiet/empty (especially during the day). The available room is on the 2nd floor (you must be able to climb a short flight of stairs), it's about 9x12, big enough for a full sized bed, dresser, desk with a some room to spare. Like all the rooms in the loft, there is a window into the common space, but no window directly to the outside (the loft itself has two big windows to the outside).
