My roommate and I are looking to fill the master bedroom in our cozy Alameda apartment. We are looking for someone who is laidback, sociable, and tolerant, but is also a responsible adult when it comes to finances and cleanliness. We live in a nice, quiet neighborhood close to a preschool, an elementary school, local convenience store, and a few other small businesses. On the weekends, I usually take one day to relax and watch football/play video games in the living room, and spend the other day cooking, cleaning, and getting ready for the upcoming week. I'm sociable when it comes to roommates, and I'm always happy to engage in small talk and be friendly with whoever I live with. Laurel is a work from home customer service/tech support agent. She is a lady/nb in her early 30s, and enjoys cooking, anime, video games, D&D, and art. She spends a lot of time in her room, but will usually come and hang out if others are gathered together elsewhere in the house. She is friendly and accommodating, and enjoys discussing subjects relevant to her interests. She works from home during the week, and occasionally also works as a freelance illustrator. As roommates, we both like spending time together with who we live with by watching movies, sports, TV shows, YouTube videos, and playing D&D. We try to check in daily and make sure everyone is doing okay, and appreciate open, honest communication regarding issues around the house. We are very laidback in general, but try our best to stay on top of household chores. We don't do house meetings unless they are necessary, and we do have a chore list. We try not to have guests over super often, since COVID is still a thing. But we don’t mind occasional visitors. We are renting out the bedroom for $1,650.00 per month. Move-in requires first and last month's rent. Utilities are a flat monthly fee of $87, which includes water, gas, garbage, and general repairs..
