Best apartment we have had in San Marcos! The staff is friendly and accommodating and the maintenance is unbelievably fast. We had a few things over the year and a half we lived here and every time maintenance was making repairs within hours, it was awesome! Not to mention when shopping around it was one of the least expensive places especially for the space and walk in closets. The layout of the apartment helped noise from neighbors to be non-existant, and parking was effortless with ample parking spaces. Beau manages the office and was truly a blessing when we needed him for anything, give him a call to tour if you are looking for a new place!!

My time renting with Arbor is coming to a close so it is an appropriate time to write a review. I've rented with Arbor properties for about six years collectively, 3 years at Stonegate apartments and 3 at Hill Country. I have had great experiences at both places and renting with Arbor in general. Hill Country is a great place to live as a college student, and noise levels are generally pretty low. Hill country is that nice chill spot if that's what you are looking for while you're in school. It is also within walking distance of campus, about a 15-30 minute walk depending on campus location. I can't vouch for what it's like to live here as a family. However, noise is rarely an issue other than the occasional loud music drive by (it's an apartment complex). Sometimes neighbors above you stomp around in usual fashion, but if you take it up with your neighbors personally or through management any noise issues can be resolved. Buildings are also very well lit at night, and people are typically walking their dogs at various times (very pet friendly locale). As such, Hill Country feels very safe in comparison to other complexes. Overall, management has treated me well, and any issues brought to maintenance are resolved in a timely manner. I developed friendly relationships with all of the above with no issues, throughout three management changes. Naturally, your mileage may vary, but I recommend this complex to anybody moving to San Marcos, locals, or for the temporary college student looking for a chill place to live.
