Really liking the new cosmetic improvements that are being made to the facility. The lobby looks GREAT! The new carpet and paint in the hallways on the main floor look really good.
After four years of living on this property, I am extremely happy with all facets of the facility, both inside and outside. Willow Brook Court's staff in its entirety has assisted me when I needed advice, help and/or assistance, a repair or replacement both promptly and correctly, and that always has been accomplished with respect and caring. I always recommend Willow Brook when asked about Brookfield apartment complexes.
Great place to live.

My husband and I have really enjoyed living in Willow Brook over the last nearly three years. Management has been helpful and the property is always in great shape. We had rented so many apartments and were looking for somewhere with reliable maintenance staff, reasonable rent for 2 beds and 2 baths, and close proximity to the MANY amenities Brookfield has to offer. For the space we had and the ability to have underground parking AND our cats, we thought the rent was very reasonable.
In regard to noise complaints below, some doors are poorly sealed on the bottom and can lead to some noise bleed. Ours had a sweep on the bottom that sealed the door and most noise was muffled.
In regard to customer service or management complaints below, in our experience, if you're nice to them, they're nice to you.

Good place to live in Brookfield. Everything is just like at a distance of 1-2 miles. Life got more easy finding this convenient place to live.

Why am I giving them a 3 stars you may ask? Well that is the average for facilities and management. Right off the bat the property we rent and price we pay is very nice and I will give them 5 stars for that. Now... management is more along the lines of 1 star. Don't get me wrong Kara has been very helpful and this is not her fault, but the company has no website, no phone number, the number you try calling goes directly to a voicemail box and the "office" is not open during their normal hours; neither at our facility or at Willowbrook as it says on the door. It's a shame because these are very nice apartments in a very nice area, but based on how management takes care of these places and addresses service requests we submit my forecast is foggy on these places.
Pros: Great location, not a lot of street traffic noise at night and the occasional train passing by wasn't a bother for me.
The maintenance man was a good person to talk to. Always spoke to me whenever I pulled into the garage coming in from work.
The rent for the floor plan that I had wasn't bad for a 2br.
Great closet space in both bedrooms.
Cons: The appliances are outdated. The dishwasher in my unit was so small that other than glassware I really couldn't fit a lot of dishes or bakeware inside, it also never worked. The stove and refrigerator were so old that the hinges on the doors were rusting.
I was told by the manager that my unit was getting new carpeting and fresh paint. Well the carpet was new, but I was still able to see curry residue on the kitchen walls and feel it on all cabinet doors from the previous tenants.
The tub in the second bathroom had a hairline crack in it, I never seen that before. And one thing that I found funny was that the hot water took longer to heat up in the kitchen and the second bathroom then it did in the master bedroom bathroom.
I don't know what kind of water softener system they're using but no matter how much I cleaned the toilet, I couldn't get rid of the ring in both bathrooms.
The birds seem to have a thing for building their nests in the balcony areas, bird poop on my balcony from the first day I moved in. I would come home from work mostly every morning and go out and sweep up the twigs and branches from birds trying to build a nest above my door.
And I have lived amongst just about every nationality of neighbors in my time and never had any complaints. But it seems that the Indian families that reside there really do not respect their fellow tenants. The children run through the hallways, no mater what time of the day it is. The family that stayed next door had a child that screamed at the top of her lungs mostly everyday, one night I was woken up by her screaming at 1AM. Their cooking process is something that was hard to get used to. The unit that I rented still had the heavy odor and residue of curry through out the apartment. Then you have the slamming of the doors no matter the time of day, constantly going from one apartment to another. Also when they use their cell phones, the calls are always on speaker instead of using a Bluetooth headset or just simply holding the phone to their ear, and the conversations are always loud. It got to the point where the rest of the tenants began to complain to the management. And good luck inviting guests over for any social activities because they will not find any available parking due to the Indian tenants guests being there well late into the night.
And last thing, I am still trying to figure out what was the $40 amenity fee for??? I received my security deposit back minus that fee. I wonder do they do this to everyone that moves out.
Edit: So I received a response to my question about the $40 amenity fee. I am being told that in the lease contract, they withhold that fee for the use of the children's play area, grilling area, party room, and fitness room. Now I lived at other properties that offered these same features and were never charged. So basically no matter if you utilize these areas, you'll still be minus this fee out of your security deposit.
