I have lived at Hunt Club for nearly 7 years and I love living here. My apartment is very nice, a good size for a 2-bdr, and has a full sized W/D, which is part of why I initially chose it.
The lighting around the community is very well-lit at night. I park in a side lot and never have trouble getting the closest spot to my place. I have not had anything happen to the 4 different cars I've had since moving in. As a single female, I feel very safe here, and I live on the ground floor. There are no issues with non-residents/visitors/strangers hanging around.
The grounds are very well kept and beautiful. When it was previously owned by a different company, some hallways, mailboxes, and parking lots had a fair amount of litter, but not anymore. About a year ago, I started seeing a lady who constantly cleans each level of the bldgs, parking lot, etc. My hallway is dusted, swept, mopped a couple times a month! It is also power washed about once a year. Previously, it went years without being touched.
I absolutely love the lagoon-style pool! The chaise lounges are wonderful and the mature trees are beautiful. There is shade and sun. There is a very professional pool company that takes care of everything, including staffing it with lifeguards who generally work the whole season. The pool is never crowded; I'm usually the only one there and it's always peaceful.
Maintenance is the most responsive I've ever had anywhere, and I have been renting for the last 34 years. They have come to fix any issue, no matter how small, anywhere from 30 mins to 2 days after I submit an online request. They gave me a new water heater, washer and microwave when mine were getting a bit shabby. I see the guys on 3 golf carts riding around each morning to pick up any trash left outside the dumpsters or recycling bins. Everyone definitely works hard to keep the complex looking good, no matter what.
Erica in the office is very knowledgeable and helpful. I think the office has always been too short on staff, which is either the ownership being too frugal or a difficulty finding workers (which is a big problem in this area). I very rarely need to deal with the office but Erica has helped me the last 3 times I needed something.
The rent has gone up each year, which is expected. You have the option of renewing for 2 years so it won't increase as soon, but I've never done that.
The issues here are the same as any apartment complex: no one can control or enforce rules on a community of nearly 400 apartments and 1,000+ people. It's a non smoking place, but a few people smoke anyway. There's recycling and convenient dumpsters, but people lay their trash bags in front of it anyway. You can hear people walking above you unless you're on the top floor. Some people don't pick up after their dog, some are noisy, messy, etc. I've never lived ANYWHERE where these problems didn't exist. People are people and landlords can't legally kick out every resident who does these things. All of it is annoying, but as I've come to learn over 30+ years, that is apartment living. If you rent in a complex, this is expected anywhere - even at places twice as expensive. Personally, I can't afford a single family home in this area, and I love that maintenance takes care of problems, so I don't have emergency expenses.
The only thing that bothers me at all is the few extra fees that the owners decided to charge beyond rent (parking, trash, a technology fee, a new annual amenity fee, etc.). So I would advise to ask about all fees before figuring out what your monthly total will be. Even though I don't have a lot of money, it is still worth it to me so I can live in a pretty, well-maintained, safe community. My perspective comes from a person who has had nothing at times and who may be more grateful than most.

I moved in April 1st 2015 and LOVE Hunt Club Apartments!!
The neighborhood is friendly, with neighbors walking their dogs to the park, grilling, and exercising around the grounds with bright smiles and welcoming waves. I always see people washing their car at the free car wash station as well as grounds keepers picking up trash and recycling to keep the complex looking in tip-top shape.
My apartment is perfect with great big windows, wood flooring, and a washer and dryer conveniently inside ( my favorite amenity). I am a full time student with multiple jobs and find myself extremely relaxed and at ease when I finally get to go home to my apartment and rest!
I worked with Bianca when searching for a new place and she was WONDERFUL. She is a great communicator, is helpful with any questions, and has a great personality and smile. This was the first apartment I viewed and as you can see, was the last! :)
I highly recommend moving here. I have yet to explore the gym and also the pool when it opens in the summer, but I am already in LOVE with this place!!

I just moved in to Hunt Club Apartments a week and a half ago as my own first apartment. So far, I love it. Its so quite even though my unit is close to a main road and I barely hear my neighbors. There is a Metro bus stop right outside the complex that goes to the Shady Grove Metro for commuters, the LakeForest mall is right down the street, along with Costco and Food Lion. Everything I need to make coming home relaxing and enjoyable. There are a few things that need to be fixed in the apartment for it to be picture perfect, but nothing that would ruin day to day living. The community is amazing and the staff are very friendly. They offer washer and dryer in the unit and some units even have a fireplace. The parking is reserved, covered parking is available, and all visitors need to have a parking pass to stay past 9:00 pm or unknown cars will be taken away, which I think is amazing. It does make me feel a bit more safe as I live alone. I would recommend to anyone I know and all who are looking for their first home in a new area.

Had a wonderful experience so far! Office staff have been wonderful and kind to me and my girlfriend. Shout out in particular to Ashley Britton, who has been incredibly helpful with everything we’ve needed since move in. If you have issues, try for Ashley and she’ll sort you out. Lots of bad reviews here but… lots of people not knowing how to read a lease as well :(

I moved into Hunt Club in Gaithersburg on August 1st and the experience from the search process through move-in through needing maintenance to come in, through the first few weeks of living here has been absolutely phenomenal. Everyone has been so friendly and nice wanted to help answer all questions I had. Within days of moving in, I submitted two maintenance requests (one for a light not working and one for a fairly big whole left in a bathroom wall). I left for vacation having not heard back, but within 3 days I received a phone call asking if they could enter my apartment and I said yes. I returned to my apartment impeccably clean as I'd left it with both things fixed. Parking (even though I only pay for the lowest amount) has been wonderful. I park right out front. Everything is lit well even at night and I always feel safe. It's also super quiet. I love it here and would recommend to anybody! :)
The community is nice and quiet. It’s apartment living so yes you might hear a little noise here and there from neighbors but for the most part, it’s okay.
The leasing office staff are attentive, nice and friendly. It’s affordable, and has great amenities. The apartment couldn’t be anymore perfect. Not too big and not too small.
Kudos to the maintenance team. They are always on it. I had a small leak coming from no where. I called the emergency hotline and a technician came within 30 mins and fixed the problem.

This is of the best apartments I have ever lived in around Gaithersburg. Received the best customer service from Erika who helped me with my application and she was very helpful and always there to provide the support I needed.
