Living here has been one maintenance nightmare after another. In my year renting both sinks leaked horrible rust water, the fridge leaks constantly, the oven spits gas, my ceiling began to fall (maintenance confirms this is a seasonal summer event), a window fell out of the casement due to rot, and the call box has been broken for 90 days. Management solution has been to prop the door open during daylight hours, leading to stolen packages and all hours texts from delivery people stuck outside when the brick gets removed or forgotten. As the final thank you from Northwest Apartments, my rent offer was raised $100 + new common area utility fees despite all similar empty units around mine going for the previous price. They squeeze you here. When I asked about considering a rent hold due to the state of things and a wish to secure housing for a longer term I was told "we do not negotiate rent" which had an energy I'd thought reserved for terrorists and children. I feel like i was bullied into moving and treated as stupid for staying in this clearly neglected investment property. 🥴

The astounding lack of care management has for its tenants and for the building borders on exploitation given the price of rent
