Been here for a little over a year. Really like this small and quiet apartment community. Maintenance staff are incredible, never had any issue that waited more than a day. They’re always here to help. DJ the building manager is also very responsive and helpful.
Love this place. Nice and cozy apartments and very friendly personal. Technicians are the best. They get things done with supersonic speed 🚀

Leaving this review because, while I opted not to move to Sherman Oaks, (1) the complex and apartments are gorgeous and well laid out, and (2) the staff--especially Karim in the leasing office--are fantastic. Even on his day off, Karim was extremely responsive and helpful. He (and everyone, from the cleaning lady to the building manager) created such a welcoming environment from start to finish. He was patient and thorough, and also gave me some great ideas about how I could furnish their units to maximize functionality! If I decide to move to the valley, this place will be at the top of my list.

My boyfriend and I love living here! The location is awesome - walking distance to restaurants, shops, bars, and more. The freeway access is easy and direct, and this was important to us when deciding on this place because we both commute quite a bit for work. The cleaning, maintanence, and office staff are super friendly and helpful. Maintenance is very quick to respond to issues. Kathy and Maggie are the leasing agents and they are phenomenal, very professional! They are kind and truly care about their tenants. We will definitely be sticking around a while!
I moved into the building in Sept., and have had a wonderful experience so far. The office and maintenance staff have all been incredibly accommodating, prompt with communication and service, and greet me with warmth each time I see them. I have had a couple of small fixes in my place since I moved in, and the issues were resolved immediately.
The building itself has everything I need, from in unit w/d, to tandem parking with ev charging. It is a very organized system in place, with package deliveries into lockers and notifications immediately. The app for paying rent and requesting service is easy to use.
Overall it’s a fantastic space, in a great area(Sherman Oaks has a ton of excellent restaurants), with access to any part of town you want to go.

I've been living at The Alister in Sherman Oaks for the past seven months, and I couldn't be happier with my experience here. During my time at The Alister, there have been numerous renovations and improvements that have significantly enhanced the living environment. The space feels fresh and modern, making it a much more enjoyable place to call home.
One of the standout features of The Alister is the promptness and efficiency of the maintenance team. Every maintenance request I've submitted has been addressed immediately, which is a huge relief and a testament to the management's commitment to resident satisfaction.
The entire staff at The Alister is incredibly friendly and always willing to help with any questions or concerns. Their professionalism and warm demeanor contribute to a welcoming atmosphere.
In addition to the excellent service and improvements, The Alister boasts all of the modern amenities anyone could need. From a fitness center to beautifully landscaped communal areas, this place truly has it all.
Overall, I highly recommend The Alister in Sherman Oaks to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-maintained living space with top-notch amenities and a dedicated staff.

I moved into the Alister this week. I had been apartment hunting for about two months now, and I was torn between two apartment complexes. I picked the Alister because of the location, small community, renovated units, but the deciding factor was the management.
The unit: I fell in love with the unit as soon as I walked in. It has a huge open floor plan large kitchen, and very modern appeal. The only thing I would say needs improvement is the closet space, but I'm getting an extra closet wardrobe for the room so that shouldn't be a problem. The pool and gym are small but well kept. Parking is convenient and in a garage, which is nice.
As for the management, Kathy and Maggie have been phenomenal. Kathy is probably the most responsive and efficient apartment manager I've encountered. I can be very picky, and my requests can be quite annoying and detailed, but she's been nothing but patient, sweet, and very professional. She's made this experience so easy and smooth. It's critical to be happy with the management if you're going to be living there and I'm lucky to have great management at this complex. Thank you Alister, Kathy and Maggie- I'll be stopping by the lobby office to say hello often. Lol

I love living at the Alister! DJ, Lisa Marie and maintenance crew are amazing and responsive. Nice people! I love having freeway access and walking distance to everything I need. I feel safe. It’s so nice to have a choice to walk around the beautiful neighborhood or walk on Ventura.
