This is a peaceful, residential area with an excellent walking and bike score! This first floor apartment features a generously sized master bedroom with room for a large bed and more. The living room is HUGE land the separate dining room has a deep walk in closet with room for bikes or just all that stuff! Lots of other closets are throughout too including a double sized closet in the bedroom. It's quite energy efficient for vintage apartments; windows are double pane, and the attics, exterior walls and crawlspaces are insulated. Parking for 1 is included but there is plentiful street parking in the neighborhood. Lovely garden courtyards abound throughout the property with persimmons, pines, magnolias and huge rhododendrons, perfect for taking in the flora and fauna. Macleay is close to NW Portland favorites just a couple blocks away: Excellent bistro's, pastries at Saint Honore Boulangerie, the Library, Chapman Elementary, Good Sam (Hospital), Bus lines, Streetcar, easy Freeway access. Forest Park abuts the property but it's also close to Wallace Park (dog park, playground, tennis, basketball courts). A 10 minute drive gets you to OHSU and PSU and it's a quick trip to access I-5 or 405. We welcome cats and most dogs but there are some restrictions.
