They say lives of luxury start with humble beginnings...this is your humble beginning. My boyfriend and I lived at Edington Court for a year. It was our first apartment and we were drawn in by the buildings unique history and charm. However, with a building as old as it is, it comes with expected (and unexpected) "quirks." The water pressure and temperature was inconsistent, meaning that it could take hours (OR DAYS) to get hot water. The location, while conveniently located, is in a busy and heavily populated area of Portland, so street parking is a nightmare. Also, expect to hear people screaming at all odd hours of the night and early morning. The kitchen and bathroom are also deceptively small, with absolutely no surface space. While living in Edington Court is not perfect, it holds a special place in our heart. It's an affordable and endearing option for those looking to live in the heart of Portland. Our neighbors and the management were both very kind and welcoming, and we enjoyed being so close to restaurants, bars and Fred Meyer.
