I lived here for a year recently before life circumstances forced a move. The design and feel of this building is what originally drew me to it. It was always a great feeling, walking down the side of the building into the courtyard and feeling the loud city sort of melt away. Everything's super efficient and cutting edge, from the design of the building itself to the full compliment of energy efficient appliances. They really took care to think of everything. The rent cost was competitive considering the attention to detail and hand-built feel of the place. I feel I got a great deal. The landlords also designed and built the building, so I got special care with any issues that came up, which were few. They even supported some ideas I had for ways I wanted to use my space that were a little unconventional. I definitely recommend Makers Row and wish life circumstances had allowed me to stay. What a great place to live in PDX :)
