Looking for a roommate for a 3 Bdr 2.5 Bth Townhouse in Van Nuys (A/C, Dishwasher, Microwave, Fridge, Washer/Dryer, Wifi, Mostly Furnished, Security System) The complex has a shared courtyard with a keypad entry gate. There is tons of street parking and 2 guest parking spots on site when available (shared with other units). Rent will be about $800-1,000 a month (First/Last and Proof of Income Required). The amount will vary depending on what exactly is agreed on. For example, we could split utilities or include it in the rent or if you really just want the room and don't plan on using the rest of the house/appliances (besides the kitchen) or you travel all the time etc, then we will be willing to except less. We are a couple and have been together for years. We've got regular jobs and tend to be homebodies, though we do get out on the weekends frequently. We have friends over for dinner sometimes, family occasionally visits from out of town, we host game nights and casual parties sometimes. We have 2 cats, fish, and my girlfriend is constantly trying to add new additions so MUST BE PET FRIENDLY. That being said, it is highly unlikely the owner will allow any large animals so preferably if you have a pet, it lives in a cage. There are 4 floors: Garage/Laundry, Living Room/Kitchen/0.5Bath, 2 Bedrooms/Bath, and 3rd Bedroom/Bath. The other bedroom on the 2nd floor will be an office. The house, besides the bedroom, is furnished; we just bought a new washer/dryer, couch, and a refrigerator. The bedroom is approx 121 ft2 (11x11), additionally there is a walk in closet of approx 30 ft2. Primarily you are renting the room, but you'll have access to the kitchen, laundry, the bathroom pictured will primarily be yours, and if we aren't using the living room you'll be welcome to use the entertainment system (no cable, but netflix, hulu plus, and amazon instant). Additionally: We do have some possible furnishings for the bedroom. Kitchen: We can either share space in the refrigerator or you can pay ? of the grocery bills and my girlfriend will do most of the shopping/cooking. We prefer to go with this option so if you have similar food preferences that would be ideal. Cleaning: We will most likely handle the cleaning of the common areas and you will just be responsible for your own room plus any messes you create, obviously. The 2nd floor bathroom shower will also primarily be your responsibility; we'll clean the toilet & sink area if we have guests over, but not on a regular basis. General info: Atheists (We don't get along well with VERY religious people) Body Positive (Tend to hang out in minimal clothing) LGBT-Kink Friendly Fans of the Sci-fi/fantasy genre Rules: No unapproved guests No smokers No hard drugs (420 friendly, not inside) No social conservatives No loud music after 10pm weekdays I'll probably add more as I get pictures and think of more things to add. After an initial phone/skype conversation, we'd like to meet for coffee, and then introduce you to some of our friends before making a final decision.
