The furnished shared space is open-concept and includes the kitchen, dining room, and living room with a 48" television and fireplace. The single bathroom is shared, with a shower only. The suite is half of a house split into a duplex. Laundry is shared between the 2 units, with direct access from the suite. * The Room * The room is unfurnished. It will comfortably fit a queen sized bed and a desk. There is one large window making the room very sunny and a large closet with built in shelves. * The Location * Situated in the beautiful, wooded hills of the Montclair district, the suite is just a minute drive to the Montclair Village shopping district and a three minute drive to the Warren Freeway (Route 13). Lake Merritt, downtown Oakland, and Berkeley are easily accessible by car. A car would likely be necessary to get around, though transit options, including express buses to SF, are available from the Village. Street parking is available directly in front of house. * The Requirements * - Single occupancy of the room - No pets - No smoking or drugs Now about us! S is male, 26 years old, and currently pursuing a PhD in Physics. He works primarily at Lawrence Livermore National Lab, typically on a 9-6 schedule. In his spare time he loves to kayak and hike. C is female, 22 years old, and completing her undergraduate degree in Physics. She loves the outdoors, travelling, and trying out things she finds on Pinterest. We are ideally looking for a professional or graduate student in the 25-35 years old range with an established independent life. Someone who is, however, willing to have the occasional drink after work (on our massive patio!), indulge in baked goods (courtesy of C), or catch something on Netflix. We both appreciate the house being clean and organized and we are looking for someone who also values this.
