I moved out of my apartment in Foggy Bottom and my roommate's friend is living there for the month of March, so the room is available to sublease starting April 1. The room is on the top floor of the apartment and has an incredible view of Washington Circle. The room is on it's own floor so you have some privacy and you have your own bathroom and porch up there. The rent is $1500/month and utilities (gas, electric, cable and internet) run about $70-$100 a month/person. The apartment is a renovated 3 story townhouse, so all of the appliances and everything in it is pretty much brand new. The first floor has a full kitchen with a Viking stove (4 burners, a grill, a griddle, heat lamps, and 2 ovens), a Sub-Zero refrigerator, and a fire place. The second floor opens up to 20-foot ceilings and includes the living room, a wet kitchen (has a sink and a refrigerator), and a porch that looks out towards Washington Circle park. The top floor (where the available room is located) includes a bathroom, a loft area, and a large porch with a gas grill. It's located in Foggy Bottom (on the blue/orange line), so it's about a 10 minute walk to Georgetown and a 10 minute walk to DuPont Circle. The guys that live in the apartment are all in their mid-20s and are all young professionals. We aren't looking for any particular kind of person to take over the lease, but someone that is around the same age and doesn't mind the occasional weekday happy hour.
