About 1655 Marina Ct
Due to an overseas work assignment, I am reluctantly leaving my waterfront apartment in Chesapeake Point. I need someone to take over the lease, this is not a sublet. The apartment is on the second floor, with one set of easy stairs up, and has a lovely balcony overlooking the San Mateo lagoon. The sunsets here are to die for, reflected off the water. The apartment is 1054 sqf, with two very large bedrooms, and one bathroom, including a new-ish washer/dryer unit. Kitchen has fridge with icemaker, oven/range and dishwasher. Security deposit is $600 but I will pay half, so you only owe $300. Central gas heating throughout the apartment, no aircon but you don't need it here, just open the windows and the breeze from the lagoon cools the place down. I once heard someone say 'If you're lucky enough to live on the water, you're lucky enough'. It's true, you can't beat waterfront living, I could watch the ducks and pelicans swim around all day. Chesapeake point is very pet friendly - it's utopia for dogs, with waterfront paths around the lagoon, lots of well kept grass to play in, lovely dog neighbors and doggy bins/baggy dispensers at regular intervals. Pet rent is $50 per month, per pet. Great for kids also, it's a gated community with security patrols, and lovely neighbours. I often walk my dogs at 2am in the morning and feel completely safe, there are other late night dog walkers too. The grounds are always very well kept, and the swimming pool has a waterview too! You can sit in the hot tub and wave to the kayakers going by (see pic, including kayaks). Great for birdwatchers, we have a large variety of feathered friends on the lagoon. If you rented this apartment from the official chesapeake point website now it would start at $2741/month for a 12 month lease, so you can save $177 a month by taking over my lease, and you get absolute waterfront. The apartment is not renovated though, so you won't get the marble counter tops in the pics on the official website, just white laminate. Everything works fine, and maintenance is always excellent, most repairs are done within 24 hours of booking them, sometimes just a few hours.
