Just moved in a couple days ago. So far everything has been fantastic. Patricia and Derek in the office were very helpful. They made our move in process fast and efficient. Celso the maintenance manager is very humble and sweet. Had the best experience ever.

Date of renting: June 2017 to June 2018 Mosaic San Mateo is an excellent place to live. It is located very close to the freeway which makes commuting easier. As with all bay area traffic, during certain times the Hillsdale blvd exit can be a challenge to get to. There are other ways around this (280 to 92 for example). It is very close to the freeway, but there is virtually no noise pollution from the freeway or bart. Another added benefit is that bart is located a little over a mile away! The true gem of Mosaic San Mateo is what is located near. There is a nice trail if you like to run or bike around the bay right down the road. There is a small park walking distance from the complex that has nice fields for playing a sport. There is also a small little jungle gym for kids in the corner. If you want to run around the park it is about a 1.2 mile course! The next awesome part is how close Mosaic is to everything! There is a marina again in walking distance that includes a grocery store, great food, a bakery, coffee, and a liquor store. Within Driving distance (about 2.5 miles) is a safeway store and another little shopping center, and right around the corner from the safeway is a Costco! The Bridgepointe Shopping center is about 2 miles away if you go down South Norfolk Street. In this center there is a Target, Bj Brewhouse, Mimi’s Cafe, Cost plus market, and a newly opened Total Wine (which is superior to BevMo in every way!) As for the complex itself, I stayed in a 3 bedroom 1.5 bath with two roomates. It is quite spacious and an awesome place to live. We had two parking spots right behind our apartment. We were also located right next to the dumpsters, but there was never an issue of any negative smells being located so close to the dumpster. Parking on the street is plentiful, but it does fill up as the evening goes on. The kitchen is a nice place to cook, however counter space is limited which is my only critique of the kitchen. Another plus is this complex accepts pets! My two kitties were extremely happy there! The onsite manager is extremely helpful, and responds very quickly. I worked with Trisha who was everything you would hope for. She was kind, caring, communicative, and very responsive whenever we sent her an email. The groundskeepers are also extremely helpful and prompt. When we had a slow draining sink, they were there the next day and solved the issue quickly. Eventually Brannon came on more frequently, and he was also shared the same qualities as Trisha when overseeing the property. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone to live.
