Joel on the maintenance team is great! After I submitted my maintenance request through the resident app, he arrived the next morning with everything he needed to fix it. He replaced the broken item in less than 8 minutes. Every single maintenance issue I've ever reported on the 5+ years I've lived here has always been fixed super promptly and every member of the maintenance team is outstanding!

I'm moving to Richmond from out of state and Katya from the leasing office has been so so helpful and kind to me throughout my application process with all of my questions concerns. She has gone above and beyond for me to make sure I feel comfortable and informed on where I will be moving into which is really hard to do when you don't live in the same state. Thank you!
The Flats at West Broad Village is a fantastic place to live and hang out in the Richmond area. The units in the complex are spacious and very well maintained with state of the art appliances and large closet spaces. The complex is very dog friendly and has a lot of green spaces around for taking walks and getting dogs outside. The area consists of businesses on ground level floors and residential living spaces on 2nd, 3rd, 4rth and 5th floor spaces making it very convenient for doing things close to home.
There are many places in West Broad Village for dining out including Park Lane Tavern, Mona's Lounge, Bartizan, Thai by the Sea, Burger Bach, Bone Fish, Chuey's, Dave and Busters, Juice Bar and Carraba's,. There are spa's, Transistions Float Studio with salt room, laser spa and great places to work out including ACAC and The Flats amenities gym in the complex and community center with new state of the art world class fitness equipment.
The Flats is an ideal living community and the management and staff do a phenomenal job keeping it in tip top shape. Lately they were in all of the units changing our air filters (THANK YOU) and also provide staff to pick up trash nightly outside your door (Trash Ferries) along with constant maintenance and upkeep.
The Best part about The Flats for sure is their staff including Brittany, Katya, Susie, Emily, Kenny, Ali, Daniel and Eve. These people are the people that take care of all of the tenants on a day to day basis and are the face of the organization. They are super friendly, professional and efficient to take care of all of the needs of tenants. They do an excellent job and deserve credit for making the place run smoothly and adding a personal touch to helping tenants.
The amenities at The Flats are first class - everything from the pool area, the community center, the new and awesome gym and work space for tenants (which is where I am writing this review) and the well manicured green grass areas around the entire complex full of flowers, trees and park benches. Free breakfast sandwiches on Friday mornings (Thank you Brittany), free coffee in the residential work space lounge areas and more throw in that extra touch along with social events monthly. If you are looking for a great place to live in the Glen Allen - Richmond area you will not find a better place than this. Stop by and see for yourself and if you are not moving, check out the list of great restaurants, spa's and things to do on a Saturday afternoon. It is truly a world class community and great place to visit and hang out too!
PS: As if all of that was not enough there are a lot of great people that live here - friendly neighbors, tons of free covered parking and a security building that helps keep everyone safe:-)

We had a plumbing issue in our apartment. We put in a maintenance request. A gentleman came by the next morning. His name was Joel. Joel was very nice. He fixed our problem quickly and he even cleaned our bathtub after he was done.

As for The Flats at West Broad Village, we love everything about it. Our apartment is spacious with a great layout and a balcony overlooking the center square, which is beautiful. We love being able to walk downstairs to have a gourmet burger, a drink at the tavern, a haircut at the barber shop or a stop at Whole Foods for lunch or a workout at the state of the art gym. The proximity to parks and the short pump mall. This is a great place to live and I recommend it highly!
I have lived at the Flats for 8 years this week. I have had the pleasure of living in a couple of different floor plans for various reasons (needed more space, etc). I’ve also seen management companies come and go. The current team is the most responsive and attentive we have had in years. Katya and Cole go out of their way to assist with anything. Katya is hands down the best manager we have had. Ever is the best service manager, very knowledgeable and remembers your pet by name when he comes for service. This is a pet friendly environment and neighbors are very nice. We have fun resident events and secure parking. The grounds are well maintained. I enjoy living close to conveniences such as Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods too. I hope to be here at least another 8 years or much longer!
Katina is a do all for the flats she is wonderful love my apartment plenty of room . Maintenance staff is great . All the staff is kind and helpful I do wish the golf and dart room was available in the evenings i never get a chance to enjoy that room . Everything else is great.
