This review is for David and Roger on the maintenance team. They came out the day after Christmas to help with an emergency washing machine issue. They cleaned the filter, tested it and noticed it was malfunctioning and holding significant water. They decided the machine needed to be replaced, so they immediately brought a brand new one in, installed it and stayed to make sure it worked properly. Five star service from David and Roger!

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Priscilla, the Community Relations Representative, and I cannot say enough about the level of care and support she provided. From the very beginning, Priscilla took the time to truly understand my situation, and her kindness and patience made all the difference during a difficult time.
She went above and beyond to ensure that I felt heard, and she explained everything with clarity and compassion. It was clear that my emotional well-being was her top priority, and the service she provided exceeded all expectations. I am deeply grateful for her support and highly recommend her to anyone in need of exceptional care.
Leaving this review for ONE member of the Essex office based here. This review is NOT FOR HUXLEY APARTMENTS. Carolina Cruz was an absolute joy to work with. She is the only person in the Essex office that would take the time to sit and chat with me about the many issues I was having with the Essex team regarding Belmont Station apartments. Carolina was empathetic, understanding, caring, and quick with her responses and help. She was beyond competent and helped me solve all of my issues when other office staff refused and discredited me or flat out ignored me. She fought on my behalf to honor promises that were made to me when other Essex members were trying to change things suddenly. I cannot stress enough how incredibly helpful she was to both my father and I. She has lifted an enormous stress off of my shoulders and I cannot be more grateful to her. Carolina, you are amazing and I hope that is recognized in your workplace.

I've lived here for over a year and found it quite pleasant. I haven't had any issues in my apartment, maintenance is really nice and helpful, and so are the security guards that work the night shifts. I appreciate the streamlined process from move-in to communications (they keep you updated on everything in the building via an app and message frequently). As others mention, the office can be hard to reach, but not unreasonable, and they are always helpful and polite. The "hands-off" process can sometimes have hiccups; for example, my keys weren't in the apartment when I moved in. I just knocked on the office door, and someone came out to help me, tested the keys with me, and ensured all my questions were answered. The few times I reached out via email to ask questions, they responded in reasonable time with the answers. Regardless, I really don't know why people need to contact the office at all, since everything is handled through an app, and maintenance always responds quickly.
Overall, this is a nice building. You always run into cool people, and there are plenty of amenities. I'm personally low maintenance, but if you need a more concierge-like building, you should look at higher price points.

I have been a resident here for over 3 years. The first 2 years, I absolutely adored the building, it was in my opinion a five-star luxury building.
In the past year we have had three different building managers. (constant turnover)
-There are maintenance problems that are ongoing without resolution.
- The hallways and elevators are not cleaned on a regular basis. The staff claims they are but I’ll happily invite you over any time of day and let you be the judge.
- Theft in the parking garage is an issue.
- Walls chipped and not repainted. Stains on the carpet all throughout the building.
- Trash chutes are filthy, sticky floors and broken chute handles.
- Tenants with dogs that are not controlled therefor dog pee everywhere.
In short...for the amount the rent costs, I would expect a different customer service experience. There are plenty of other rental properties in West Hollywood area that truly offer a luxury experience. This is not luxury. Its embarrassing for me when I bring friends or family. It feels more like a college dorm. Feel free to reach out or PM me directly.
July 3rd UPDATE
I have to say ever since Dominique joined the team, almost every single issue above was addressed. I have not experienced such good customer service since the first years at Huxley. So glad she came and made the changes. 5 star vote now.
On the good side it’s become a nicer group of residents, it’s a centralized location and overall now that the issues have been addressed it’s a great place. Not full luxury but def a step above the rest. :)

I do want to be very clear. These five stars are not at all in any way for the ESSEX company nor the people who run the so-called resident relations. This review is purely for JONATHAN who works for the maintenance team and has always been very efficient, timely, courteous, and friendly. He has made this experience very pleasing and I have always had great experiences with the maintenance department.
This review is for Priscilla and Corey, both with the Community Relations Team.
Initially when I was dealing with the Sales team, I received contradictory information about pricing terms, was given incorrect codes to access the building for a tour, did not receive timely responses and was unable to apply for the unit I wanted simply because they could not get the application for the unit posted to their website.
Luckily, the last time I toured the complex, I met Priscilla who was extremely helpful. She let me into the unit to tour after the code I was initially provided did not work, and she was able to troubleshoot and resolve the application issue to get the unit I wanted on the website. Quite frankly, she saved the Huxley from losing a tenant as I was prepared to sign another lease that day. She has also been incredibly responsive with getting initial maintenance issues cleared up. She is awesome!
Once I was able to get past Sales, I was transferred to Corey at the Community Relations Team. He was such a breath of fresh air! Highly competent, responsive and honest. I had agreed with the Sales team about certain concessions that were not initially reflected in the draft lease presented to me, so he was able to escalate the issue and the draft was ultimately corrected with the terms honored. He was also able to explain the detailed itemization of rent adjustments, costs, etc. 10/10 service from Corey!
The Huxley is incredibly lucky to have such competent and friendly people like Priscilla and Corey working for them!
