Built-ins flank the wall opposite the fireplace, and there’s an arched wall niche on the adjacent wall. Kitchen: Galley layout with lots of light, farm-style cabinets and a gas range with 5 burners. Saltillo tile on the floor, and decorative tiles on the backsplashes and behind the stove. Bedroom: Mahogany floor under a wood-beam and plaster ceiling. The closet is huge, with its own window (which, due to the architectural grill, you can leave open even at night). There’s also a built-in chest of drawers with a shoe rack in the bottom. Bathroom: Vintage tub with shower above, pedestal sink. Window gives great natural light. Floor is Saltillo tile. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION: On West California Blvd., less than block from South Orange Grove Blvd. in Pasadena. Close to Old Town and the 210, 134 and Pasadena Freeways.
