I have lived at The Ridgeleigh at Van Dorn Metro for over 4 years and have never regretted my choice. The staff are phenomenal. They are attentive, friendly and professional. The apartments are modern and spacious. I always receive compliments from my guests who are surprised by the size and nice finishes. The grounds are well manicured and clean. Maintenance is on point and responds quickly to any needed repair. The residents are respectful and friendly (many of the residents are military). It is a pet friendly environment, with a well kept dog park on the premises.
The location is very convenient to the beltway and metro with a free shuttle to/from the Van Dorn metro running in the am and pm. I highly recommend The Ridgeleigh when searching for your perfect rental apartment!

It's been 1 month since I've moved in and it has a been a peaceful experience. Starting with my first tour with Assie who was very accommodating when I was running late for my viewing appointment. She provided me with all the information in a friendly manner and answered all of my questions thoroughly. When it was time to sign all the paperwork she helped me along the way and provided me with updates about my unit. Once moved in, maintenance responded promptly to my move-in inspection notes and fixed everything right away. The complex has stayed clean even with all this pollen flying around and I really love the on-site carwash! Overall, a great move-in and living experience so far.
My partner and I have been here going on two months now; which in my experience is not an adequate enough time for a full review, but these are my initial thoughts:
Our leasing agent, Safia, was kind, professional, and welcoming. That’s good enough for me. I don’t expect folks to walk on water, but professionalism and kindness are expected.
The property is clean and extremely quiet. Because of the green space and trees, I get to hear birds singing every morning; which is something I was looking for. Big for earth signs. I did the luxury building off of a main highway and am completely over it.
Maintenance is responsive and helpful.
With respect to the noise complaints I read prior to moving in - I actually feel bad for the people underneath us. I am the chillest and respect the county’s quiet hours, but I hear every step I make. The floors are very creaky, so I know the people beneath me can. We specifically chose a top floor unit to avoid noise at all costs. Climbing to the fourth floor everyday is not for the faint of heart; but, we chose peace. Choose wisely. We also hear our neighbors children pretty loudly through the walls. She’s a kid so, we gave her a name and makes sure she’s okay. 😂😂
Set realistic expectations, and make choices according to your must haves. If done so, you will enjoy your time (anywhere). ✌🏾

While I have not lived here, during my time of considering it as a place to live, I worked with Jan Harris. Jan was amazing! She was very responsive via email and phone. She also went above and beyond to show me the property and discuss pricing options. Jan is a great property manager! She provided such great service and was very accommodating while I considered the property. I was able to secure a better deal at a different location, but I will be considering Ridgeleigh again because of Jan.
I've lived here for 7 months now and so far I love it here. I'm very picky about kitchens but I was pretty much sold when I saw the kitchen in my apartment. It had all new appliances and looked very modern.
The gym is great as far as apartment gyms go and there are two really nice pools.
The location is perfect; the highway is right next to the property and the metro station is just 10 minutes down the street. They even have a shuttle that takes you to and from!
The people in the leasing office are always friendly. Whenever I needed anything they were always helpful.
Super happy to have a home here.
I’ve only had a great experience living here. As this is my second time living in these apartments. Couldn’t speak any more highly of the office staff as they make you feel welcome and that your needs are important. Highly recommended! Also a great location and easy accessible to many attractions in the Washington, DC and Northern Virginia areas.
I have here at Ridgeleigh for two years and I love it here. It's a beautiful property, safe and clean; walking distance to the metro and along a good bus route (there is also a shuttle to/from the metro).
The staff is extremely professional and friendly- I feel like I am a part of a community. I moved from another property just two blocks away because I really wanted a balcony . . .the fire place is an extra bonus. Like any building, sometimes things break or need repair, but the maintenance team is A++; they fix things quickly and they are respectful of my belongings and very courteous.
I have one of the remodeled units, so it feels like a brand-new apartment. Also the garage is large enough for my SUV- lots of room. I am a very picky, easily irritated girl, but I have no complains- honest. I will say that if you are bothered by little noises and hearing neighbors walking around- just live on the top floor like me, you will be fine.
Again, I am very happy living here, I could not ask for a better property, for the price I am paying.
My experience with this property has been nothing short of stellar. The grounds are beautiful, well kept, and the amneties are great. The apartment I rent is beautiful with various upgrades. The property is quiet and I feel safe here. My leasing consultant Jad was professional, knowledgeable, and down-to-earth, which made the moving process so much easier. The property manager Mai, answered my questions and discussed details at length with me to make sure I felt comfortable and informed. They both made themselves readily available and were prompt with responses. They're such a good team! I'm relieved and happy I chose this property. Thanks for everything!
