Villaggio apartments is a great place to live, very close to restaurants, pubs and bars in Tacoma downtown. Location is great easy access to I5 and public transportation.
Staff is great in the office as well the maintenance team, very quick service and response to word order.
The rooftop is a plus, BBQ , a place with a great view of Mt Rainier and the central cascade mountains.
I really like this place, clean and very safe with the gated parking.
I moved here in March of 2017 and moved out in March of 2022. I only left because I was moving out of state. This is a great place to live.
First, the staff is wonderful. Laura, the current manager (of when I am writing this review) is amazing. She and the rest of the office staff are very receptive to the needs of the tenants, the maintenance staff is very friendly, professional, and even get to low priority issues super fast.
Speaking of which, I only had a single 'major' issue over my 5 years there, and that was to do with the dishwasher.
The apartments are very nice. I had a studio, but it was plenty roomy enough for me. The appliances were pretty new, and the bathroom was huge. The location is cool - you're within walking distance of a lot of fun places and only a couple blocks from the TLink, which I hear will actually get you places in a few years! There's also a rooftop patio and dog park with an AMAZING view of Mt. Rainier.
My only complaint is that I did have my car broken into once in the garage. It's downtown Tacoma, so I am shocked it only happened once, but I wish they had more cameras in the garage (though it's run by Republic Parking, so that might not be something they can control). Regardless, I would choose the garage over the alley street parking any day as the garage is at least semi-secure.
As I said, this was a wonderful place to live and I would recommend it if you're looking for affordable apartments in a decent area.

I already love living at the Villaggio as the property manager (Gladys) is so friendly and always helpful! But I have had 2 minor issues in my apartment and the maintenance worker (Jarvis) has taken care of them both times and he is amazing!! Very professional friendly and courteous and he makes sure the problem is taken care of the same day!!
I would and HAVE recommended to others about leasing here!! It is the quietest safest place I have lived as far as apartments go!!
My Son rented here years ago and loved it as well and recommended I live here and I’m very glad he did!!!

Excellent place to live! I moved from out of state and was glad to find the apartment looks exactly like the pictures and better. The staff are very responsive, professional, and polite. No hidden fees, everything is straightforward from start to finish. Bringing in a roommate and a new puppy was a breeze in this place. All my maintenance requests were completed within 24-48 hours. The location is perfect to walk to museums, restaurants, parks, and the docks. The Y next door waives introductory fees for Villagio residents. The view of commencement bay from the apartment was perfect. Full disclosure: It is downtown so you'll hear a few night owls passing by on the street at night. My unit faced East, so I'd suggest an A/C unit for the summer to combat the heat. Also, the elevator went down 4-5 times during the year I was there. Not a dealbreaker for me but I wouldn't reccomend for someone who needs ADA housing.
Pet friendly, quick walk to eateries and coffee shops, amazing rooftop views and lots of storage in the kitchen, bathroom closets and patio storage closet. The office staff is amazing and kind and my dogs look forward to saying hi to them! Actually, it's mandatory to stop and say hi to them 😃 Any maintenance issues are taken care of very quickly by the awesome maintenance team and the building is kept very clean. I feel safe and cozy in Tacoma!
Modern, compact, and nicely located (although a bit expensive). One of the best options if you're a University of Tacoma student (the campus is within a short walking distance). There are YMCA, a fancy hotel, convention center, and museums nearby as well. Staff was exceptional (strict with rules and paperwork, but helpful). There's a space on the rooftop where you can see the stunning Mt. Rainier (although it can be windy and cold at times). The studio was small but it was comfortable. Walls were somewhat thin (I can often hear music from the next room) but the kitchen was probably my favorite. So spacious with plenty of room.
I have to give it to the management of this property, and to Epic overall. I've been out of work for the last 4 months and struggling to make ends meet, but the staff in the office has been nothing but kind and attentive. In all my years of renting, I've never had this situation occur, and I have to say, that if it wasn't for their candor and attitude, I would not have been able to get through this time that I'm in. Five stars, would highly recommend living here, plus the view from the roof can't really be beat.
This was one of the best decisions that I made while in Tacoma. The value is great in terms of what you pay. The staff is very professional, responsive and accommodating. They took care of everything I needed and made it easy to set-up my move-in while I was in Afghanistan. My apartment had everything that I needed and a bit more. The Kitchen was set up nicely and was spacious. The bathroom had more than enough room to do what you needed. I also appreciated patio. Relaxing out there with dinner was great during the summer of quarantine. The location is great! restaurants and great scenery was a small walk away. The move out process was very simple and efficient. I would not of moved out if there wasn't a great gig waiting for me in Austin TX. If you're looking for a great downtown Tacoma experience, pick Villaggio!
