I don't live there. But someone I love very much does. It's an older building with many beautiful features like hardwood floors, old style kitchen floor, bathroom looks a bit crowded but not bad for just one or two people. I personally love all the built ins. But being in my mid 60's I like that kind of embellishment. Why not 5 stars? Forth floor walk up which makes it impossible for me to visit my loved one. No off street parking so his new car had all it's windows broken and anything inside stolen. Love the Catholic church directly opposite from the apartments that actually owned the building. So if they had an elevator I would be able to cross the street to attend services.

Casa Del Rey is a fine old building to live in, the location is fine for life in the city. Constant car break ins and the noise of burnside are to be expected. The basic amenities are poor however, as the water is dirty and gritty, and the electricity lacks grounding, and can break some of your electronics. The paint job prevents smooth movement of most every window and cabinet. The single pain windows have very large gaps all around the frame, and allow a breeze to blow into the apartment, we used clear plastic sheets to cover them in the winter and fall. The people here are mostly lovely, however management fails to enforce noise complaints, and can be very difficult to get ahold of. Overall enjoyed my time here, but if it wasn't the cheapest spot around I may go elsewhere.
