I’ve been at the Avery for almost 2 years now, and in less than a month my time there will be coming to a bittersweet end. I’m moving overseas, and I won’t be back anytime soon.
Before landing at the Avery, I was just across the street at Upper East Side. My good friends Dan & Anna Bryant were leading the CARES team at the Avery at the time, and I found myself attending more of their events than I had in my own complex. During one of their events, they pitched me on moving there, and within a couple of months I did just that; Couldn’t have been happier with my decision. Not only was the community there much more tight-knit, I went from living in a one bedroom to a spacious two bedroom, and was paying $200 less a month. Yes please.
The Avery feels more like a commune than an apartment complex. Everyone there is willing to give you the shirt off their back. They have a Facebook group that’s great for keeping tabs on what’s happening in the area, but also helpful when your car’s in need of a jump. Literally, within minutes of residents asking for help, multiple people jump in to help out. It’s fantastic.
Couldn’t say enough great things about the place. If you’re looking to move to the area, look no further. You’re gonna love it here!

This place is where you want to be. Close enough to the village to utilize it but far enough away for reasons just as important. Leasing office is impeccable. Best in the biz. Pedro is my leasing agent and he has never failed to meet every need Iv ever had. Only lived here for six months, and I already know ill be here at least another year. Plenty of parking which isnt easy to find.

The Avery is an amazing place to live! I'm so surprised that they don't have more stars. I just renewed my lease for the 4th time. No complex is going to be perfect but the central location of the Avery is awesome. You're close to major highways, can walk to a target, and are just a couple miles from White Rock Lake. The buildings aren't all brand new but the units don't feel outdated at all. Mine was move-in ready and felt new. The office staff is great, especially Jamie and Aixsia. Let's face it...they're in a role where they often have to serve as the messenger. They're always responsive and patient with me if I feel frustrated. For example, the ellipticals in the gym get a little off balance from time to time due to frequent use. The Avery staff is always quick to remedy that when I reach out. I love the amenities like the gym and the pool. They Avery switched their security company a little while ago and I think they've done a good job being more present. Dallas is a big city, so there is going to be crime. I'd rather have a gated complex that works most of the time then not have that security measure in place. Since I don't live on the first floor, the trash concierge is amazing. They never miss a night! I do think that there's a little room for growth when it comes to managing pet noise. They are great about letting tenants know when there is excessive barking but it can be a challenge to pinpoint exactly which unit it is sometimes. I'm just glad that they at least acknowledge the concerns. I would highly recommend becoming part of the Avery community!

Lived here 2023 to 2024. By far this is the best apartment I have ever lived in. The community is clean at all times, beautiful 2 pools, gym office staff are extremely professional, responsive and helpful. The office hosts and celebrate holidays with residents including complimentary food, drinks and more. It's close to all shops everything.
The only reason I am moving is because I recently got a job that is an hour away if not, the Avery would be my permanent home until I purchased my house. I will miss this beautiful quiet community 😭😢😢
My experience at the Avery has been excellent. The entire team is very professional, kind, and communicative. The maintenance team is A++++, they complete work orders in a timely manner and always leave a note that they entered, and explaining what the issue was and how they fixed it.
The leasing team including Pedro and Aixsia are wonderful, and always eager and ready to help if you ever have any questions. Property Manager Jamie is very communicative to all of the residents and has assisted me in a very timely manner for any questions I have had, so definitely a huge thank you to her!
I just recently renewed for another year here at the Avery and am excited to continue my residency here. If you are looking for an apartment in this neighborhood, do not look elsewhere - The Avery will not disappoint.
The Avery has been a great place to live in since I moved to Dallas. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. Pedro is my go to guy every time I have a question or concern.
The property has also made some security changes, making this place feel more safe and secure than others.
The Avery is awesome. Pedro has been a huge help getting my roommate and I settled in. He even helped me mount my TV!
The original unit we signed was suboptimal. However, the Avery was very accommodating when we addressed the issue and moved us to an upgraded unit in just a few days.

The Avery on Southwestern has been amazing. Everyone has been very friendly and helpful. The pools stay clean and welcoming. The maintenance staff have all been very attentive whenever anything is needed big or small. You can tell the staff care for the community. Aixsia was the first person I spoke to when moving to the apartments and has been very sweet and helpful since day 1. If you need anything she's the one to ask! I would easily recommend these apartments to any of my friends and family.
